I slowly opened my eyes to see Jaeden, sound asleep next to me.

I didn't wanna wake him after everything he's been through, he deserves a break, so I carefully got up and made my way downstairs.

It's Friday which means that I only have to make it through today and I have the weekend to myself, well and of course Jaeden.

When I walked into the kitchen I noticed that my mom wasn't home, which I wasn't surprised about, she's hardly ever here but that's ok. It gives me more freedom to do what I want, I guess.

I ruffled my hair a bit and opened the top cupboard, shuffling through it to find something to eat quickly for breakfast. I groaned because I couldn't find anything other than stale cereal, due to my mom not having gone grocery shopping in quite a while. I shut the cupboard, to reveal Jaeden leaning against the counter.

I flinched out of surprise but quickly calmed myself down afterwards, "Oh, hey.." I said.

"Hey.." he replied. "Are you okay?" I asked, looking at him up and down.

"Y-yeah, i'm fine. Why?"

"You seem...a little out of it, I don't really know." He scoffed and took a step back from me. "I got raped Wy, what do you excpect?"

"I-I know..I just-"

"Whatever." He turned around and marched upstairs. I ran my hands over my face while letting out a sigh. "Fuck."

I really am a fucking idiot.

Jaeden

I heard a knock at my bedroom door and already knew it was Wyatt, so I went ahead and opened the door. "Jae, i'm sorry..I know it's hard. What can I do to make you feel better?"

I sighed and only one thing really popped into my mind- well, two but let's not talk about the other one. "Can we stay home today? I can't really bear the fact of going to school and seeing him..and what if tries t-"

"I won't let him put his fucking hands on you ever again." Wyatt cut me off while grabbing ahold of my hands. "We can stay home and do whatever you want but don't even think about Nicholas ever touching you again because you know that I won't let that happen, you know damn well."

I just slowly nodded my head while staring into his eyes. We both stayed silent for a few seconds before he brought my hands up to his lips and kissed them softly. "Wanna watch a movie?" He asked, letting go of my hands.

"Sure."

While watching the movie, I began to ponder through my thoughts. He kissed my hands...he cares so much about what happened to me. He's so...protective.

"Whatcha' thinkin bout Jae?" Wyatt asked, pulling me out of my thoughts, "You kinda spaced out there." he chuckled.

"Oh..uh, nothing important. Just..school." A worried look began to form on his face. "What about school? Are you thinking about what happened? You know I won't let that happen to you again, you're safe, i'm here to protect you."

"Y-yeah! I know, it's not about that, calm down." I let out a nervous laugh as he looked back to the TV.

What's up with him?

"Hey Wy," He turned to look at me again. "Why do you care so much?" He grabbed my hands once again and looked me in the eye. "You're important to me Jae, this whole time that you've been living with me you've changed me. You've made me realize things and opened me up to things I never cared about before, you showed me feelings that I never knew I could have before. You're special to me Jae."

Feelings? What feelings? Special..important??

"Oh...thank you Wy, it really means a lot to me." I pulled him into a hug and smiled as we pulled apart.

He makes me so happy. Huh, that's funny..the person I used to hate the most makes me happy.

"Hey Jae.." He started out, "Huh?"

"Can we cuddle.." A blush appeared on his face as he stared down at his hands.

"Oh..um- uh sure."

I moved closer to him and climbed in between in his legs, resting my head on his chest. I felt so warm and safe.

After that we just watched the movie together, all cuddled up and warm, but before that I could've sworn I heard Wyatt say something in between the lines of, 'I love this.' but that's just me.
