"Jaeden was..raped?" My mom asked, making sure she heard right.

"Yes." Jaeden spoke up this time, a tear running down his cheek.

"Oh my god." My mom walked towards Jaeden and pulled him in for a hug, rubbing his back and letting him sob into her chest. I could see his little body shaking and hear tiny cries escaping his lips, they broke my heart.

"Jaeden, this is important for you to answer, was it a girl or a guy?" She asked after pulling away and bending down to meet eye level with Jaeden, holding onto his shoulders.

"I-It was a guy. It was N-Nicholas Hamilton." Jaeden managed to choke out through a sob, my mom nodded and grabbed his hand.

"Have you showered?" She asked, to which Jaeden simply shook his head 'no.'

"That's good, I need you both to get in the car and wait for me there. Jaeden it's okay honey, I'm not gonna let this happen again." She hugged Jaeden again and pulled away soon after, looking back at me.

"Wyatt, thank you for telling me." I nodded at her and walked up to Jaeden, grabbing his hand and pulling him with out of the kitchen and towards the front door.

"Why did you tell her?" I looked back at Jaeden and scoffed, "Because you wouldn't have and I'm trying to help you Jaeden, just let us help you..please?" He stared at me for a second before letting go of my hand to open the front door and waking out.

I sighed and walked out after him, getting into the car and sitting down next to him in the back seat in silence while we waited for my mother.

My mom opened the driver seat door and got in, being quick to start the car and pull out of the driveway.

"Okay so Jaeden, we're going to the police station. You're gonna have to describe to them what happened and then they'll take you to the hospital to do a rape kit, which is basically where they examine you for evidence that can be used against Nicholas. I know all this sounds scary but I'm trying to help you, so please..just try to cooperate." She turned her head back as we reached a red light to look at Jaeden.

I looked at Jaeden and grabbed his hand, squeezing it. "Hey," he looked at me with tears in his eyes.

"It's okay." He shot me a small smile and squeezed my hand, he looked back at my mom and nodded.

She turned her head back to road and continued driving, I could feel Jaeden shaking next to me.

I squeezed his hand, causing him to look at me. I opened my arms, to which he scooted closer to me and laid against me, my arms wrapped around him.

When we got to the police station they took Jaeden in and had him explained everything that happened, crying in the process. I practically begged the authorities to let me go inside with him, not wanting to leave him alone with anyone right now.

Afterwards we went to the hospital, they wouldn't let me go with Jaeden this time and I eventually let him go. My mom and I waited about 4 hours while they performed a rape kit on him, he walked out again with tear stains cheeks and tired eyes.

I got up from my waiting room chair and walked up to him, pulling him into my arms and then pulling back slightly to kiss his forehead.

"You're okay..you're safe."

Once we got home, my mom sat us down to talk about everything that had been going in the past few months.

"Jaeden and I are in love." I confessed, lacing our fingers together.

"Wow..that was..a lot. I have nothing against this but Wyatt," I squeezed Jaeden's hand and waited for her to continue, "Take care of him." I smiled at her and nodded.

"Okay, you guys can go upstairs." Jaeden and I both got up, I pulled him upstairs and watched him directly run towards the bathroom once we entered my room.

I waited for him to shower as I laid down on the bed, already changed into  pair of sweatpants and no shirt on. He walked out– a towel wrapped around his waist– and got dressed quickly, jumping into bed with me.

"How you feeling?" I asked, pulling him  closer to me. He rested his head on my chest and draped his arm over my waist, tangling our legs together.

"Sore.." He answered, I only pulled him closer and kissed his forehead, already feeling sleep start to wash over me.

"I love you..I hope I marry you someday." I heard him mumble before hearing his soft snores.

"I love you too." I smiled to myself and drifted off to sleep.

For the first time in a while, I felt happy with Jaeden.

I felt complete.
