---Cross' POV----
"We cant't leave them!" I protested, pulling against Killers grip. I'm actually stronger than him, but having Chara in control always drains me significantly, so I was weakly pulling against him as he dragged me over to the field and towards the river.
"They should be smart and figure out where we've gone." Dust called from up ahead.
"But what if they don't?" I cried, trying to wriggle from the grip Killer had around my arm.
"Tough." Killer growled, yanking me along.
"This is bullshit." I muttered under my breath.
"Chill Cross." Killer said. "We all want to help the others, but there's not enough of us to do anything that could help. We'd just end up getting caught as well. What use would we be then?"
I growled, looking down at the grass at my feet. He had a point, but I felt like we needed to do something to help the others. Seeing as it's technically my fault they got caught in the first place.
Killer seemed to sense what I was thinking and stopped. "Look Cross, this isn't your fault. I know your blaming yourself, but we're all to blame. We should have guessed something like that was going to happen. This isn't all on you."
I didn't respond, scuffing the grass with my feet.
Killer sighed dramatically and let go of my wrist, walking over to Dust who was currently stood at the edge of the river looking out over to the forest that we had escaped to last time.
"I think our safest option is to make our way back to Night's mansion." Dust said, turning to face the two of us.
I eyes the small blue skeleton that he held in his arms, recognising him as the skeleton officer that was with the guys when I turned up.
He looked terrified and confused by everything that was happening.
Dust growled and turned around, gripping Killer's wrist and inspecting the magic restraint on it.
"Hey Cross..." He said quietly. "Do you think you'd be able to cut this off?"
I shrugged and Killer immediately pulled his hand free of Dusts grip. "Are you crazy?" He hissed. "He could cut my hand off!"
I snickered at his reaction. "Whats one less hand gonna do?" I joked, summoning one of my smaller knives.
"No! Guys I'm serious!" Killer cried, scrambling backwards, away from us, and towards...
"Killer wait your going to--" Dusts cry was cut off by a yelp, followed by a splash. "Fall in the river...." He finished, shaking his head in amusement.
I giggled as Killer surfaced, spluttering and gasping in air. "I-Its so c-cold!" He stuttered, starting to swim back over to us.
"Killer stop!" Dust called. "Just swim over to the other side. That solves the problem of you not being able to teleport."
Killer grumbled something that I couldn't quite decipher before accidentally swallowing some water, then choking it back up. He swore under his breath, then turned in the water, doing a steady breaststroke to get to the other side.
Blue was giggling, covering his mouth with his hands. Dust and I were also trying to hold back our laughs as killer reached the river bank and attempted to pull himself out.
"Should we help him?" I asked.
Dust looked over at me, a wicked grin on his face. "Nah, I think he's got this covered by himself."
