I had a lot of fun writing Phrenology, and I'd love to revise it whenever I get the chance. Even as a published work, I could put out a 'New Edition' like what many publications do, though most polishing tends to be done for scientific journals or encyclopedias and the like. I don't see why it can't be done for fiction! If an author truly has an endearment for a certain story of theirs and they see many errors after their growth in story-writing, then I don't see why they shouldn't put out revised editions of their stories. I'm actually sure it happens every now and again, yet I don't see it introduced as such or advertised in ways that the academic publications tend to do.
