One of the most powerful things that inspires me to write and create worlds with characters... is paintings. I love looking at paintings and other types of technical drawings from colorful art. As a writer, I feel like one sort of callous comment you could make is we're all just artists who couldn't draw. After all, I'm always getting ideas for the looks of characters and so on, yet rather than the well-to-do animator or next Picasso, I have to describe the look of a person through some sort of passionate and romantic description. And as such I get such a muse from looking at the designs of characters in order to envision better how I'm going to write out what they look like. This is one of the methods.
