Part 19

I start driving towards my house.
My mom had work and so did my dad. Aaliyah was in school so I guess I had a free house.

Me and jasmine would be alone. I was nervous.

"Nothing will happen Shawn, you barely kissed" I think to myself.

I had fallen for her hard, Ugh. At first it was a crush but now I can't control my feelings. It's like I have to be around her all the time. The only downfall for this is she isn't my girlfriend. I want her to be, but I am scared she might not like me back. I mean she did run away when we kissed. Is that a sign?

We arrive at my house and I unlock the door. Jasmine follows behind me and shuts the door.

"Are your parents home?" She asks.

"Nope they're at work" I say.

I lead her up to my room and lay on my bed.

"Okay now give me your phone so I can download vine" she says.

"Okay" I say passing my phone to her.

2 minutes later she lays by me and starts setting up my profile.

" okay so your name should be simple, Shawn Mendes" she says typing it in.

"Birthday?" She asks.

"August 8 1998" I respond.

A few details later my profile was created.

"Okay now that's done. Do you have any videos of you singing?" She asks.

I try to remember if I did but then I remember Aaliyah took a video of me singing a cover of Justin Bieber.

"Uh Nope" I lie. That video was so embarrassing I was shirtless and looked a mess.

"Stop lying Shawn" she says going into my camera roll.

"What's this" She says clicking on the video I hated.

"Please don't Play it" I beg.

She played it and listened to the quick video.

"This ones perfect" she says ready to upload it.

"Jazz, That one is so embarrassing. I mean look at me" I complain.

" Shawn, you look fine" she says and uploads it.

"Now we just wait" she says.

"I doubt I will blow up overnight" I laugh.

"It could happen" she smiles.

"Yeh whatever" I say.

"Anyway, you hungry?" I ask her.

"Kind of" she says.

"Well I'm starving so let's eat" I say sprinting down the stairs like a kid.

I walk into the kitchen and try find some food.

"What do you want?" I ask.

"Anything, I don't mind" she responds.

"Ok, uh there's some left over meatloaf from yesterday" I laugh.

"Okay. I don't mind having that" she says.

I warm it up and put it on a plate.

"Here you go" I say putting her plate on the table.

"Thanks" She says grabbing a fork and starts to eat the food.

10 mins later

"Who the hell made this" jasmine says.

"My mom, why? Is it bad?" I ask.

"No its f*cking amazing"she says amazed.

I laugh and carry on eating the last bite of my food.

"Done" I say.

Jasmine gets up to take both our plates to the sink.

She starts washing them.

"Jazz What you doing?" I ask confused.

"Washing the plates" she says in a duh tone.

"You're a guest, you shouldn't be washing up" I say.

"Well I want to" She says continuing to wash them.

"Well at least let me help you" I sigh walking towards her.

I stand behind her while she washes the plates.

I just wish she was my girlfriend. She is so polite, she is always helping and I trust her. She's perfect. Why can I just ask her the question? I'm just a stupid coward.

"Shawn." Jazz calls.

"Uh Yeh" I say snapping out of it.

"You wanna dry these plates" she says handing me a towel.

"Yeh" I sat awkwardly grabbing it and wiping the plates.

Once I finished I put them back into the cupboard and started walking upstairs with jasmine.

We lay on my bed and it was pretty quiet.

"Shawn?" She says.

"Mhhm" I sat with my eyes closed.

"Do you remember when I first got drunk And you bought me here" she laughs at the random moment.

"Yep, you are crazy when you're drunk" I laugh.

It all went silent again. It was a comfortable silent tho.

I sit up to see jasmine asleep. I slowly lean down and kiss her cheek.

Wow I'm a creep.  Shawn why the heck would you kiss her while she's asleep?

I look at her and her eyes shoot open.

"Uh I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that" I lie.

She sits up and just looks at me. She leans in causing me to. We were inches away when..

"Shawn I'm home" Aaliyah interrupts. Oh my god I swear I'm going to kill her.

We quickly pull away.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry. I ruined a moment. You know what, just forgot I was here" she says running out.

I look towards jasmine who was blushing like crazy and I'm pretty sure I was too. It was so awkward. Ugh Aaliyahhhhh!

Do you know what, just carry on Shawn. Kiss her. It's just a kiss. What could go wrong?

"Jasmine" I say.

She turned towards me still blushing. She was cute when she blushed.

"Yeh?" She asked.

I slowly lean in towards her, she scoots closer.

"Hey shawn, What are you doing h-"my mom pauses.

Ugh does nobody ever knock?

"Uh Sorry, I will be in the kitchen if you need me" my mom says turning around, walking out the door.

"Uh I'll be back, why don't you go to Aaliyah" I say to jasmine before she walks out.

God I'm an idiot. It was a kiss and I dodged it. I messed up and now it will be more awkward between us...
