CHAPTER TWO: A SEQUEL, OR A PREQUEL?

Recently, Tails had woken up to find himself in a state of memory loss. The swords voice had left him alone in order for Tails to provoke his anger by himself. After all, it's better for him to have his anger cultivated, then to have it artificially made...
After Tails made it over to Sonic's place, it seemed as if Sonic seemed somewhat surprised and a bit nervous as well. Sonic cautiously let Tails in, and everyone eyed him with a moment of silence. Tails was suspicious. Did this have anything to do with his memory loss? Either way, Tails broke the silence with a non-harmful and cheery greeting, and everyone replied back, with a somewhat relieved expression on their faces. Everything went on as normal, like in the good 'ol days. However, there was still this strange feeling within Tails that was urging him to go to the Mystic Ruins. Assuming that it was another one of his wierd feelings, he just gave up on it and proceeded. That's when the gang had split up into groups in order to have a fun little game of hide and seek. After all, there was no harm in something like that right? As soon as they split up, Tails had found his chance. He would secretly take the Tornado X to the Mystic Ruins. Obviously, the Tornado X made too much of a distraction. Yet, it didn't seem too bad because once again, the gang looked relieved. Once Tails, had hit the floor, he had automatically felt a blast of nostalgia. He got out and- WAIT! Was Tails hallucinating, or was he seeing himself running towards a tunnel that leaves to a cave? So, is this the past, the present, or the future? Oh no, things are about to get pretty complicated...
