I can't write. I just can't. I've got to find her. She couldn't have gotten that far if we barely bumped into each other. I saw her turn left on the street the coffee shop was on, but I have no idea. This is such a big city, she could be anywhere. I sighed and kept running. Try thinking about what she was wearing.

She was wearing a green beanie, like she always does. I looked to my left, then my right, and spotted a girl with a green beanie. I smiled to myself and ran in her direction. I bumped, stumbled, and ran into some people and apologized. I finally reached her and gently grabbed her arm. She seemed startled at first and faced me. I looked into her eyes and she turned her head. I frowned and put my finger under her chin to make her face me. She had tears in her eyes and I opened my mouth to say something before she cut me off.

“Carolina, I-”

“I'm sorry, Niall. I have to go-” She started to pull away. I gripped her arm harder.

“Why? Why do you have to go?” I ask her. She had tears now streaming down her face and my heart broke.

“I-I can't tell you.” She says, still crying. I had tears brimming in my eyes now.

“I thought we could tell each other anything. Carolina, we were so close.” I start to let the tears fall. “What happened to us?”. I ask softly.

“I don't know, Niall. But I really have to go-”

“Bullshit.” I say. A woman walking past me covers her child's ears and I apologize to her, not letting Carolina out of my grasp. “If you don't tell me where you're going, I'm not letting you go.”

“Here's a clue; let go of my fucking arm or we're through.” She says through gritted teeth. I stare at her for a moment before narrowing my eyes.

“Who are you anymore?” I say, letting go of her arm roughly. I start walking away and she pulls my hand.

“Wait, Niall.” She sighs. I tower over her and try to hide in my sobs. My Carolina is gone. She's vanished into thin air. She's been replaced with this devil of a woman.

“What do you want?” I say with venom in my voice. She looks down and back up to me again. She puts her hands on my shoulders, and kisses me. It takes me a bit to decide to kiss back, and I'm glad I do. I've longed for her kiss for months. I rest my hands on her hips and she stands at the tops of her feet to reach my height.

When she pulls away, I grin. She smiles, and it vanishes soon after. “Don't turn around.”

“Carolina? What are you doing?!”

Epistle 37

Dear Carolina,

Wow. I need a breather after what happened today. I ran into you, and realized something.

It was true. You did change.

I was going to ask you, about your 'accident' and why you did it. I couldn't build up the courage to say it.

I know my letters haven't been that long, but I usually based them off past events that happened. Writing for the future and present isn't as easy as you think.

I need to check into my hotel now. In two days, I'm heading back to London. I will tell the crew everything I did, and will write down what they said. In the final letter, I hope you realize something.

I loved you more than you could think.

And you didn't.

'Til next time,

Niall
