Monica waited at the door of her flat for Paul and Ringo to arrive. They were already five minutes late and she hated waiting, it made her anxious.

A year had passed since her lucky run in with the Beatles. As she sat waiting for the guys, she reminisced on the perfect first date she had had with Paul. Only they didn’t wait until Saturday to meet each other again as they had planned. The morning after they met, Monica woke to a knock at her door and there stood Paul McCartney claiming that he couldn’t wait any longer to take her out.

Since they had nothing planned out to do that day they ended up just going on a walk where they talked and laughed and got to know each other better. It was better than any first date she could have hoped for.

After that, they continued to go out and Monica was able to meet the two other Beatles George and John who she instantly took a liking to. John was always cracking jokes, and being sarcastic and George would add on to John’s witty comments with his own making them even more hilarious. However, she mostly enjoyed spending time with Ringo, who had quickly become her closest friend. Whenever Paul was off with John writing songs, which happened quite often, she would go see Ringo so she had someone to talk to.

She felt so lucky to have been able to meet a wonderful boyfriend and the best friend she could ask for all in the same day. Before that night she really had no one to lean on. Her mother and father left her when she was young leaving her with her grandfather to take care of her. Her grandfather was a kind and gentle man who she very much enjoyed being raised by, but he had grown so old that it was he who needed to be taken care of, so he moved into a home for the elderly where he had constant attention. Other than him, she had no friends, she spent so much time visiting him, waitressing,  and drinking her troubles away that she hadn’t had time for any personal relationships.

After she met Paul however, all of that changed, she was able to stop binge drinking every night and she learned how to juggle her social life and the responsibility of work while still having time to see her grandfather. She worked it all into a schedule, she would visit her grandfather on Tuesdays and Fridays and make sure to only work four days a week so she had extra time to see her friends. Everything seemed to be working out perfectly and she knew she wouldn’t be nearly as happy as she was now if she hadn’t have met the Beatles.

Just then she heard a knock at the door which broke her out of her thoughts. She opened the door and there stood Paul and Ringo along with Ringo’s girlfriend Molly. They were going on their first double date so Monica had decided to wear something extra nice for the occasion. She chose a lovely red dress that flowed to just below her knee and had no sleeves, just straps, which she topped off with a black jacket.

Her figure showed beautifully through the dress especially once she topped it off with a pair of black heels. Paul obviously took notice of her stunning appearance as soon as she opened the door because his eyebrows raised and his jaw dropped slightly.

He shook his head to collect himself and held out his hand for her to take, “Ready to go love?” he asked. “I’ve been ready for the past ten minutes you git.” She joked at him smiling.

“Sorry Mon, we had to pick up Molly too”, Ringo explained apologetically. “We got here as soon as we could though.” Paul nodded, “I’d never leave my lovely girl waiting longer than I had to.” He gave her a wink and smiled cheekily.”

Monica took his hand smiling, “Well in that case we’d better get going shouldn’t we.” Ringo nodded and put his arm around Molly’s waist to steer her around to Ringo’s car waiting for them outside as Paul pulled Monica out of the flat.
