Shadows

A shadow loomed over me.
It has made everything dark and cold.
It stood there looming over me.
To my surprise it started to move.
I didn't see someone moving with it though.
A confused look came over my face as a shadow now loomed behind me.
I started to walk, the gloomy shadow wandered behind me.
I continued walking, another shadow joined the last leaving as soon as it came.
I stopped, many shadows loomed over me,
dark and cold.
They ranged from many sizes,
big and small,
slim and wide.
A ringing sound surrounded me as many more shadows joined me with yells and screams.
They weren't screams for help,
just screams.
I just stared at the ground,
staring at the shadows.
I turned around and they disappeared,
but they were still there,
I could feel the coldness on my back.
I felt like they were talking to me,
but they were not.
All I could hear was screams.
I blocked my ears, but I still heard the screams,
The shadows surrounded me again.
All I could feel was coldness and all I could see was blackness.
Not a single person,
not a single tree,
not a single house.
Just shadows,
just darkness.
The screams were joined by beeps,
crying and pacing.
I closed my eyes to only see light.
No more shadows,
just people.
No more screams,
just talking.
No more coldness,
just warmth.
No more darkness,
just light.
