I'll miss the glow of morning light
waking me up to another day,
another life.
I think I'll miss the world
for what it used to be
but now I'm staring at the clock
waiting for the right time to come.
I'll miss the smiles I used to get
I'll miss those people too
The ones who ever really cared
about the things I've done.
But time's slipping away,
The clouds are turning grey.
Oceans part,
making way for me
as I tread upon
a thin white line
that leads to
the light at the end of the tunnel
that shall swallow me,
engulf me
into the silver chimes
of afterlife.
