Chapter 13

After Alex and I had finished speaking. We went straight home. I was now laying in my bedroom, reading a book.

I flipped the pages of the old book and stopped when my phone lit up, telling me I had received a message.

Tristan: hey, want to hang out?

me: sounds good

Tristan: where?

Me: could we meet at my place?

Tristan: yeah

Me: I want to introduce you to my family

Tristan: sounds good

Tristan: see you in fifteen

I lock my phone and wait for Tristan to come.

I continue reading my book and I hear the doorbell ring.

"I'll get it mom" I shout and I run down the stairs.

I open the front door to see Tristan.

"Hey Tristan" I say as I gesture for him to come in.

"Hey Ash" he says as he wraps his arms around my waist in a quick hug.

"Since you are here and so is my mom, why don't I introduce you now" I say

"Introduced to the parents so soon in our relationship, it's an honor" he jokes

"Come on" I say, he follows me into the kitchen where my mom was cooking.

"Hey mom" I say as I sit on the counter.

She turns around and looks at Tristan and I.

"Who's this young fellow" she says

"I am Tristan" Tristan introduces himself and shakes my mothers hand

"Friend or boyfriend?" She asks him

"Boyfriend" he says laughing

"Well, it's nice to meet you Tristan" she says

"Could Tristan join us for lunch?" I ask and she nods, continuing her meal

"Now let's introduce you to my brother" I say as I grab his hand and lead him upstairs

"You brother doesn't like me" he says blankly

"He will once he gets to know you" I say reassuring him

"I don't really think so Ashley" he says

"Trust me Tristan" I say

We walk past my bedroom door to my brothers. I raised my hand and placed a soft knock on the door.

"Who's there?" My brother said from inside

"It's your favorite sister" I say and he laughs

"your my only sister" he says

"I am coming in" I say

I take a quick glance at Tristan, he breaths deeply, is he nervous?

I open the door and my brother is laying on his bed on his phone.

"Alex this is Tristan, my boyfriend" I say and Alex looks up from his phone

"Oh so you too are dating now?" He asks and I nod

"Hey Alex" Tristan says and Alex just nods his head in greeting

"Tristan wait for me downstairs, I want to have some sibling time with my brother" I say and Tristan nods and obeys.

"Alex please" I say

"Please what?" He asks

"Please just try to get along with Tristan" I say

"He is my first actually, serious boyfriend and I want you to just be there for me and get along with him" I continue

"Since you like him and I trust you" he pauses

"I will try too" he finishes

"You guys are actually really alike" I say

"You are both stubborn and you both love me" i joke and he laughs

"Let's go eat lunch" my brother says as he walks out his room and I follow.

The lunch went pretty smoothly and Alex actually behaved himself. There were many conversations with never ending jokes.

"Thanks for the lunch" Tristan says

"Yeah thanks mum" I say

"Tristan you are not such a bad lad after all" Alex says

"Thanks bro" Tristan says

"If you break my sisters heart though" Alex says

"I won't and that's a promise" Tristan says

I take this moment to stare around the room, everything was finally smooth sailing.

No more cheating boyfriends.

No more fighting.

Everything was right where I needed it.

Everything was perfect and I have the revenge plot to thank for that.
