Jughead Jones and the infamous (Y/N) (Y/L/N) were partners in crime. You had moved to town after Jughead joined the serpents, and bumped into him at Pop's Chocklit Shoppe. Your first few days, he spoke few words while you spoke many. You would go off about a crazy adventure from your past, or explain your tattoos that covered your body, or just tell him about what had pissed you off that day. After a week, he began to join in, making snarky comments as you spoke. Then, after a month, you were both sharing your insane stories, him telling you about the serpents most of the time, or his little detective work he performed. Your stories provided him with a different outlook on life. He always admired how you took many risks, and often reaped the repercussions without hesitation. You were the reckless one, and he kept you under control, while you made sure he took a few more risks. Soon after, you and Jughead were inseparable. When you saw one, the other was right around the corner.
After your long friendship, Jughead felt that it was finally time to introduce you to his friends from Southside High. After Betty decided to join the Serpents, he felt the need to share his life more with others, especially those he was close to. He also knew your personalities would fit seamlessly with the others. Although he reassured you would get along, you felt nervous, which didn't happen often.
"Jug, I feel like maybe this should wait. They already hate Northsiders, right?" You suggested, pulling your bottom lip between your teeth. You were pacing around your living room in your apartment, looking around anxiously. He shook his head and rolled his eyes at you. "You're (Y/N) freaking (Y/L/N), you never back down, so why now? Also, you aren't a real Northsider, (Y/N/N), at least not in that context." You shrugged and nodded in agreement. He had a point, you were never one to back down. Everyone at school knew it too, considering the fights you had caused were mainly with the jocks, including Reggie and one time Archie. "Okay, so let's go then," he continued once he felt you were convinced. Feeling his hand wrap around your wrist, he walked you to Pop's where you had assumed the others would be meeting you.
You looked down at the ground as you walked, shivering slightly as the wind blew. You were wearing a white v-neck and black ripped jeans, which displayed your tattoos on your arms and legs quite well. As you reached the diner, you bit your lip and you both walked in, approaching the familiar booth. You sat across from Jughead and smiled as your regular orders were being made. "Man, I love this place. The only thing keeping me in this town, if I'm being honest." You joked, winking at Jughead while he huffed at the small jab. As your food and milkshakes arrived, you heard the bell from the door ring, and three teens with serpent jackets walked in. One girl with pink hair, a very tall raven haired boy, and then a handsome brunette. Jughead gave the group a wave and they approached the both of you. They looked at each other and the pink haired girl and the raven haired boy both moved quickly to sit next to you, leaving the other boy to sit next to Jughead.
"So, guys, this is (Y/N). (Y/N), this is Fangs, that's Sweet Pea and that's Toni Topaz." Jughead introduced the three while gesturing to each person. You smiled and wave at the three of them.
"I've heard quite a bit about the three of you and some of your interesting endeavours." You chuckled.
"We can say the same about you. Although, you aren't what I was expecting when Jughead said he had a friend from the Northside he wanted us to meet." Toni said, leaning a bit closer as she spoke to you. You face changed to one of confusion.
"How so?"
"Well, you're very pretty, and I didn't expect all of the tattoos, especially in the Northside. Hell, we don't see work like that in the south." She explained her previous comment and you blushed.
"Well, that's quite flattering, both comments actually. I take pride in my body art." You said smiling down at your arms and legs. You weren't one to hide it, especially due to the amount of time and money you had put into the work. "And I also didn't grow up here. My old home was similar to the South side, I would say, but my parents decided we needed change, something new, I guess." You shrugged.
You felt Sweet Pea move a bit closer, "So, Jones has told us a few of your crazy stories, care to elaborate on them?" He asked, quickly scanning your body. You smiled and nodded, beginning to describe your craziest experiences, including your first tattoo, which you had done at your old school as a dare. You also talked about your fights at school from Reggie trying to mess around with you–even though that playbook was destroyed, you had a feeling he had a plan, and you were correct.– As you told the stories, Toni and Sweet Pea seemed very interested, leaning in close, taking in each word, almost exaggerating their reactions, while Fangs remained laid back, chuckling to himself but remaining silent for the majority. When the conversation was over, you felt genuinely happy. Jughead was right, you had nothing to worry about.
For weeks after your first encounter, you met up with the same group in that same booth, spending more and more time with them. This day had been no different than any other, except you had been running late after having some car troubles. So, Jughead, Fangs, Sweet Pea and Topaz were all at Pop's waiting on you.
"She's totally digging me," Sweet Pea boasted, a proud smirk on his face. Jughead rolled his eyes and thought about stopping the conversation there until Topaz decided to make a comment."I wouldn't be too sure Pea, I think she's into me more," she countered confidently. Fangs rolled his eyes and watched his two friends argue, bickering back and forth over who you had liked more. While they were too busy fighting, you entered Pop's unnoticed, and you slowly approached the table, stopping when you were within earshot, listening to what the commotion was about. When Fangs spotted you he only chuckled and scooted to the side, making a bit of room for you to sit. You blushed and sat next to him, moving a bit closer to him once you were settled down. The two stopped fighting and looked at each other. "Why don't we settle this now, huh Sweet Pea?" Topaz asked, making your face contort to one of confusion.
"What are we settling exactly?" You asked timidly, feeling a bit overwhelmed.
"Who are you into? Me or Topaz?" Sweet Pea blurted out. You started laughing hysterically, looking between the two of them, eventually to the point where you were tearing up.
"Holy shit! No! I hope I haven't been giving the wrong impression!" You said in between laughs, slowly quieting yourself. "I love you both." You started and they looked confused. "Platonically of course." You added and they both frowned. "What? Is my friendship not enough?" You joked, pretending to feel hurt. You rolled your eyes at your two childish friends. "Well, if I'm being honest, if I had to give an answer, I'd say Fogarty here has the best chances with me." You gently nudged him with your elbow, a slight blush on your cheeks. Sweet Pea and Toni looked shocked and Fangs only smiled at the interaction, resting his hand on your thigh.
"Wow, (Y/N) (Y/L/N), interested in someone for the first time ever." Jughead joked and you rolled your eyes. You never felt the need to be with someone, and Jughead knew you had a distaste for relationships. There was no true reason, your parents loved each other and you hadn't seen any terrible relationships while you were growing up. You had just never felt the want or the need to be with anyone until now.
"Come on now, I'm allowed to like people, now aren't I?" You retorted and looked at Fangs. "Besides, he already knew this. We've kissed before and stuff." You said casually, feeling his thumb caress the exposed skin on your thigh. When you first told Fangs you were interested in him, he was shocked. Toni and Sweet Pea were always the two who got the girls, he was hardly ever hit on, especially by someone like you: gorgeous, kind, yet a total badass. The two of you had been growing exceptionally close, just not during the time's at Pop's. Rather, you would meet at your apartment and talk alone, or pretend to leave alongside the others only to drive around together until the sun rose. You weren't a sappy person, and Fangs wasn't one either, but you both made exceptions for the other person. Considering the reactions from your friends, you thought it might have been better to tell them sooner, but you can't change the past."You're telling me that you've been dating Fangs, and we had no idea?" Sweet Pea asked and you both nodded. He looked over to Fangs and looked at him expectantly.
Fangs shrugged and leaned back, moving his hand from your thigh to rest his arm over your shoulders. "What? You never asked, so I never told." He said flatly, grabbing one of your fries and eating it.
"Hey, just because I like you doesn't mean you can eat my food," you threatened, pulling your food closer to you, trying to look angry. He just chuckled and pulled you close, shaking his head at you.
Then, all three of your friends shivered in disgust. "Ugh, go back to being like that in secret, it's gross," Jughead complained, tossing an onion ring in your direction. You laughed and shook your head, eating the onion ring he had thrown. You truly loved all of your friends, and you would forever be thankful for Jughead introducing you to these three wonderful people.
