Matthews POV
I went straight to chemistry after grabbing my book and talking to Kylie. My heart was still beating from having to talk near Kali.
I sat down in my seat toward the front. I turned around and saw Kali come in. Her beautiful grey eyes sparkled in the sunlight. She sat down and grabbed her book. I wish I could say more then "hi" to her. The homecoming dance was coming up. I thought about asking her a million times but never had the courage to do it.
" Hello everyone, welcome back. Hope you enjoyed your weekend!" He got started with the lesson. He was old and bitter half the time. I was surprised that he said hi.
The bell rang and everyone made there way out. Kali stayed behind for some reason. Maybe she needed a tutor. Sure I'm not very good with chemistry, but I could learn. I laughed in my head. "Like that'll happen," I whispered.

Later that dayThe bell rang for lunch and I went down to the commons. There she was. Talking to Mario. Before he came out, of the closet, I was kinda jealous. My stomach was in a knot. My friend, Jason, sat down and chowed down his burger.
"Show, did you do it? Did you ask her?" Jason said with food falling out of his mouth.
"I don't know? Did I?" I said. Truth is. I didn't want people knowing who I liked. Its not like I'm ashamed. I just don't want people to know before she does. I left school early. Not caring what trouble I would get into.
