It's always been you Mark x Reader

*Flashback to a couple weeks ago*

"I can't believe you!" You heard Mark yell from inside his house, you waited outside the door, not wanting to interrupt his and his girlfriend's fight. "I want all your crap out of my house by the time I get back!" He yelled, he opened the door, and say you. His eyes were red and puffy, you walked with him, and you got into your car together. You didn't say a word for the first half hour, "I suppose you're wondering what happened?" Mark asked, his voice cracked. "I'm assuming she cheated on you?" You asked, "Yeah. With her fucking Ex, I can't believe her...I'm done with her." He said. You took his hand, and smiled at him, "She's no good, you'll find a better girl soon." You reassured him.

*Present time*

"She fucking cheated on you Mark! How the hell can you take her back!?" You screamed at your best friend, "She said she didn't mean it, she still loves me, and I still love her!" He yelled back to you, "You're an idiot, y'know that!?" You yelled, "Y/N, she's really sorry, I could see it in her eyes, I know she still loves me." He tried to explain to you, "You know she's only saying that, right? She doesn't love you, I know it! She's probably banged every fucking man in L.A and just now wants you back for a night!" You yelled. Mark ran a hand over his face, tears were threatening to fall from your eyes. "You know what Mark, I can't take this anymore, I can't be around you when you're with her, she's so fake. So when you decide to pull your head out of your ass, come see me, until then...good-bye Mark.." You said, and walked out the door, slamming it in the process.

You drove back home, and sat on your couch, you wanted to cry, but you wouldn't allow yourself to cry over a man who would never love you. You made yourself a mug of coffee in the kitchen, and turned on the TV, flipping through the channels, some time passed from watching random cooking shows and house flipping shows, when there was a knock at the door. You looked at the clock, '9:00PM'. You got up, and opened the door to reveal a disheveled Mark, he'd been crying.

You let him in, and didn't say a word, and handed him some coffee. "I called her, and some guy picked up. She-she fucking lied, she doesn't love me at all! I'm such an idiot, you were right Y/N, you always were.." He started, "Well?" He asked, "What?" You asked, "Aren't you gonna rub it in my face? Say I told you so?" He asked, "No, Mark, I'm not gonna do that, because friends don't make their friends feel more like shit then they already do." You said, and hugged him. "Thank you, Y/N, I need you. I really do, without you, I don't know what I'd do.." He said with a sigh. "You'd probably be sad all the time and less awesome, because I'm the most awesome person in the world!" You said with a laugh, trying to lighten the mood. 

Mark laughed, "Thank you, for being there for me when I need you the most.." He said, "No problem Mark, you'd do the same for me.." You replied and kissed his forehead, and hugged him again. 

*A month later*

You laid in yours and Mark's shared bed, and opened your book, and began to read, Mark came in, and checked his phone, then put on his pajamas and laid down beside you. He propped his head up on his hand, and smiled at you. "You're so beautiful." He said in awe, you laughed, "Where is this coming from?" You asked. "I just love you is all, so, so much. It's always been you. I don't know how I didn't see that before, I love you." He said with a smile, You kissed him, "I love you Mark." You smiled and kissed him again, setting your book aside, and deepening the kiss. You parted for air, and smiled at each other, "Bed time?" You asked, he nodded, and you cuddled up.
