Standing on the top deck at the front of the cruise ship, the night sky illuminating the dark part of the deck as Camila wiped a tear from her face. Lauren didn't love her. She and Dinah had been communicating through emails for years, and Lauren knew that Dinah and her were staying together as roommates. God! She was such an idiot. Dinah hiding the fact that she was engaged to be married a chef that she never knew about which Lauren seemed to know and clearly she was just as shock as she was. Camila screamed at the top of her lungs, her world was a mess. Her heart was a mess. She wanted to move on, to be able to set herself free, but Lauren, Lauren had always been the one for her.

"Same as always. Screaming your lungs out every time you stress out. Still the same old Camila I knew." Camila turned around to find Lauren standing in the shadows, her toned slender figure leaning against the wall with her arms folded.

"Just go away Lauren. You knew I was looking for you all these years, yet Dinah and you kept it a secret. I should have known you never wanted to see me again." Camila fires back angrily, earning a laugh from Lauren.

"Honestly Camila, I never knew you were staying with Dinah. She only mentioned Hailee in the emails we exchanged, and you can gladly read them if you want. But I'm as angry as you are that my own best friend for years, Normani, didn't tell me she was engaged to Dinah this whole time. I know you feel betrayed just as much as I do, but getting angry over this situation won't help us."

Camila stares at Lauren for a moment, contemplating her words. Lauren was never one to lie, and she had a soft look in her eyes, prompting Camila to release a heavy sigh and nod her head. "I guess you're right. I'm sorry. I seem like such a stalker. I just... missed you. And I went looking for you when you left, I just never could find you. I wanted to tell you so badly that everything was a mistake, that what you saw wasn't what was happening, and when I lost you... I could never love anyone the same way I loved you."

"I know. I'm not hurt about the fact that what I saw was something different. That yes, I should have stayed and talked to you. But, you promised me that you would never allow him near you or us again. Yet you did Camila. You let him into your home. But that's all in the past now. What's done has been done. And when I walked over here, I thought to myself, maybe it was just me who couldn't deal with things and I ran away. In which I didn't because we were so young anyway. And I'm sorry Camila. For not being there when I was supposed too."

Camila was taken aback by Lauren's sudden change of heart. She shouldn't be apologising at all. Lauren had lost her parents. Hell, if she was in the same shoes as Lauren, she would be in the same predicament. Lauren stood there, looking down at the floor, her hair blowing in the wind, her skin highlighted by the moon, her dress flowing in the wind. Camila wanted to be bold, to be daring and kiss the girl before her, but they were just becoming friends again, even though they knew each other inside and out, Camila wasn't going to ruin it with a kiss. Instead, she surged forward, immediately wrapping her arms around Lauren and giving her a hug.

Lauren was completely taken aback by this. She had expected Camila to walk away, or perhaps even do something stupid, but here she was, hugging her with all her might. Lauren immediately weaved her own arms around the brunette's waist, pulling Camila closer until their bodies were flushed together, and the air that she held in her lungs released slowly, soaking in the feel of her once loving girlfriend. It felt so calming, so warm and beautiful, Lauren couldn't help but whisper the long awaited words she had wanted to say for the longest of times.

"I missed you so much." Lauren whispered, a tear rolling down her cheeks.

"I missed you too. So much."

Camila felt her heart soar. They were really true soulmates. She believed that with all her heart. If only things had been different, they would be married now, maybe with a kid or two, Lauren carrying their child, and they would be living the quiet suburban life they had dreamed about when they were younger. They stayed in that position for a really long time, just holding each other, reliving all the missed moments and love they felt for each other. Finally moving apart, Camila looks at Lauren in the eye, thinking about what to do next. Instead, Lauren comes up with a brilliant idea.
