Jonahs P.O.V.

Its been about three days since the day in the classroom. Ever since that day, the tension between us has been a little awkward. I think Buffy could tell that I wasn't telling the full truth that day, but if she really could tell, she wasn't pushing it.

And I'm glad.

Because I'm not sure I know the full answer to her question.

When she asked me who I liked, my immediate answer was no. Then I started thinking. Do I?

There were some girls I thought were cute, but none really stuck out to me. I thought about all the people at school, and no one came to mind.

But then there was yesterday.

Yesterday, I did see someone. Someone who did stick out to me.

He had short, raven hair. His eyes sparkled in the sun. His smile could light up a room.

But he had a Rockwater Middle School uniform on.

And I didn't care.

Flashback:

It was the middle of the afternoon. The crisp autumn air was pleasant, so I decided to take a walk. I walked for a while and I didn't know where I was until I saw the fence that separated us from Rockwater.

I sat myself under a large oak tree and took out a green notebook and a pencil. I decided to look around for inspiration. My eyes set on a log not too far away and I started to sketch it.

Once I finished, I looked around again and saw something I didn't expect. A boy. In a Rockwater uniform. Looking down at me.

"Whatcha drawing?" He said while sitting down next to me. I lightly blushed. Why was I blushing?!

"Nothing right now," I replied. He nodded his head and I thought it was adorable.

"Thanks, I think you're adorable too," he said. Did I just say that out loud?!?!

"Sorry, I didn't mean to say that out loud..." I nervously replied. He smiled and started to giggle and my heart fluttered. That's when he seemed curious about something. "What's your name?" he said softly.

"Jonah, Jonah Beck," I say. "Jonah Beck..." He repeats. It's silent for a moment before I ask him a question. "What's your name?"
"Cyrus Goodman," he happily replied.

End of Flashback.

Cyrus Goodman.

I love it.

Later that day I went home and laid down on my bed to think about the day. And him.

But mostly him.

Now, here I am. With a sketch of him–that I stayed up for three hours–drawing in my hands. A sketch that I have decided that I will always keep in my pocket until he comes back and I can give it to him.

If he comes back.

~~~
So that's how they met. I like it. Sorry this was mostly a filler chapter. I had a few other ideas about how they met, but I liked this one the best. The alternate ending to this chapter was that Jonah saw Cyrus while Cyrus was at school and when Jonah walked away, Cyrus saw him.
K bye.
