My Icicle Heart

Entry #4

I woke up the next morning in a hospital room my body feels so cold. My mom was on the couch sleeping.

"Mom,.. wake up. Mom." She quickly stood up upon hearing my voice.

"Hi, M how are you feeling?" She held my hand.

"I feel cold mom. How did i get here? I was on the fields last night and there was a big glowy thing and.. ----"

but before i could finish, tears we're starting to fall from her eyes.

"Don't you ever make me worry again like that." 

"Sorry mom.." As i said with sorry written all over my face.

I was also on the verge of crying too. I dont like seeing my mom cry it hurts me too

"Okay." She wiped her tears and gave me a warm hug.

"Want something to eat? I got fruits and soup, What ya like?"

"Soup, please."

While my mom was heating the soup. I stared at the wall, trying to remember what happened last night.  

But it seemed like a dream and blurry.

"Here you go sweetie. Your favorite, crab soup" There was a bright smile on her face.

"Wow. Thanks mom." I didn't felt hungry until I saw the soup and I grinned like a kid at Christmas eve.

 After that,  A doctor came in with a nurse. "Oh, Great she's awake. Good morning Mrs.Thompson" He said in a relieved tone.

"Good morning Dr.Oak"  said mom with a warm smile."Hello Dr.Oak, how's it going?"  I said as he walked towards my hospital bed. Dr.Oak is a local physician at the hospital. Almost everyone in town knew him because he's really kind and takes really good care of his patients and a lot of girls are crushing on him.

"Great for me, but for you young lady not really." He said with a wary tone in his voice.

"Why, what's wrong doctor? My mom was freaking out. "Well, her body is beaten and she has to rest for a few days." He said with a worried look on his face.

My mom sighed in relief when she heard that it was nothing too serious. "Can I go home later doc?"I asked him impatiently.

I don't like hospitals especially the emergency room. A lot of eerie things happen there that shoots a sharp feeling in my spine making me shiver.

"Yes, if youre not feeling weak anymore." And touched my head. "But, you need to rest more for a bit." With a gentle smile on his face.  "Well, I'll be making rounds.if you need anything just tell us."

"Okay Doc. Thanks a lot." My mom walked with him out the door. The nurse was already outside. But before he reached the door he looked and smiled at me dearly. I smiled at him too. 

I think there's something in the way that Dr.Oak looks at me.It's very different it's like he's tryin to say something with his eyes.I shook my head. Maybe my imagination is being wild again.

After they left, Mom wanted to take a nap. She said she couldnt sleep last night. I reached the remote on the table next to my bed and turned the tv on. Then i saw what the meteorite that had fallen from the sky last night in the news. 

I was watching the new when suddenly I shivered and had goosebumps all over my body. 

I knew something strange is going to happen to me.....
