Chater 9-My Escape

Jennifer's POV:

I was sitting in the wooden chair in silence. I was still held hostage in my chaimber. The silence was peircing the air. Will I die in here? I asked myself. I hear static and the screen appeared again. Nobody was there, but I heard voices.

"Is it going as planned?" a voice asked. It sounded like the voice at the screen usually. "Sort of, but-" "What do you mean sort of?!" The voice boomed. What were they talking about? I asked myself. I could hear the rage in his voice as he spoke. "Don't yell at her! She's The closest person to Mia on our side." "She may be your giflfriend, but everyone here is treated the same so they will be strong-tough." Why do they need me? Who has a girlfriend? I asked myself. The girl's voice sounded familiar, but I don't recognize it. Who was she?

I pressed on the screen and felt something hard on it. I put my hand around the back of the screen to feel a round knob-a door! I could get out of here! I opened it silently and to my surprise, I saw the same thing I saw on the screen. I ran out the room looking for a way out.

As I ran down the silver-metal halls, it looked like I got lost deeper and deeper into the halls. It was a maze of rooms and dead ends. I was running fast hoping for a door when I smacked into someone. "Watch where you're going! Wait, who are you?" the voice asked helping me up. She looked my age. "I'm Jennifer." I say looking at her. She was in a ton of gear made of metal, and her midnight hair was braided down the side. "I'm Scarlet-a commander." she says with a nod. "You look lost. Need help?" Scarlet asked. "Yeah. I'm trying to find my way out." I say with confidence. "Follow me, and I will lead you out." Scarlet says walking down a hall. I immediately follow behind. We continue walking the see two guards. Damn it! I'm busted. I thought. "Hey!" one guard says running towards us. "She's with me. Chief's orders." Scarlet says holding my wrist. "Scar, the jig is up. Now we have to turn you in." the other says as he goes towards her.

She punches him in the jaw. The other guard dashed towards me. I kick him in the knee as Scarlet pulled out her dagger and slices the guard's arm. A scream peirces the air as he holds his arm. A guard pulled out his dagger and threw it at me. I dodge the blow and hit the other guard. I kick the guard's hand and punck his chest. I look at thedagger and grab it. I turn around and slice through the guard's neck. The blood falling like a waterfall from his neck. I stabbed his chest as he fell with a cry. Once the guards were gone, I turn around. Scarlet was nowhere to be seen. I see the door-the exit. I run to it, but before I get there, I fall to the ground. I look up to see a man with an evil smile look at me. Scarlet by his side. She struggled to get away, but his grip on her arm was tight. "Helping the hostage I see." says the voice. This was the guy who kidnapped her! Before she could say anything, she blacked out into silence.
