Jennifer's POV:

I woke up in a dark room. I almost got away. Damn it! I looked down. My hands were scratched from holding the daggers too tightly and blocking the blade. "So you tried to escape I see." the voice says with a laugh. "Why are you holding me captive?!" I spat at the voice. A chill goes through me. "Jennifer, you have no idea about what you've gotten yourself into. You see, one of your friends" the voice hesitated. "Is my daughter." Silence peirces the air. "You have a daughter?" I asked in shock. "Yes. She doesn't know about me or her family. She practically thinks she is an orphan." the voice says. "So you did all this to find your daughter? Do you even know who she is?" I ask. "Yes. Han't you put the pieces together yet? Her blood is different from everyone elses-she's never gone to a doctor. Remember the night at your condo?" the voice asked me. "Yeah. The shadow over Mia, but what does that-" I stopped my sentence and realized. Mia is his daughter. How the hell did I miss this? "Mia's your daughter?" I asked in disbelief. "Yes." the voice says. Before I knew it, a shadow stepped out of the darkness and I was greeted with a boy in his twenties. "Hello Jennifer-I'm Mr. Parker, but you can call me Dan." the voice says. "Hey Dan. I have a question." I say. "Sure ask away Jennifer." Dan says with a smile less frightening. "So you try to get your daughter back by kidnapping her friend?" I asked. "It was on instinct." Dan says. "OK, so can I go or something or-" He looks at me for a while. "How would I get my daughter if she has no reason to come?" Dan questions. "You know I could just go get Mia and bring her to you right?" I say. "And you would do that?" Dan says as if I was joking. "Yeah." I say. "Well I will set you free if you bring her to me." Dan says. Before I could respond, I appear in the town. The light kills my eyes as I look around. Where do I start to search for Mia? I asked myself. I ran towards town in hopes of running into her.
