The faint sound of footsteps are heard in a dark room, a strange foreboding silence hangs over the heads of 5 uneasy people. Finally, one of them speaks out, "This is pointless, why are we even here?"

"Relax, Nathan, we must be patient," replied a young woman with blonde hair.

"I know, Lily, but I never thought I'd see the day where we need help," says an amber haired boy.

"Well, it's not like things are so easy these days, Alex," she reasoned.

As the comments continues, a girl with flaming scarlet hair steps in. "Would all of you shut up?!" she screamed.

"Rose is right, we have to wait, they said they would give us answers," a white haired boy whispers agreeingly. Suddenly a bright crystal lights up the room as the once shadowy figures jump back, startled. The room was small with a few windows and a door, the curtains blocking anyone from seeing them. The only things preoccupying the room are the 5 people and a fluorescent white stone. All of a sudden, they start fading, being drawn to the crystal. They get teleported to a meadow that leads down to a desolate beach. One enormous tree grows in the field. As they take in the scenery, they notice a young girl with her hand on the tree, she is about 14 or 15, with dark chocolate gold hair and hazel eyes. The group bundle together and watch as she steps away from it and gaze at it while the sun sets behind it.

She finally speaks, "Hello there, have you come to watch?" As the baffled group exchanges glances, the decide to join her near the tree. Once the sun hits the ocean, the sky turns to copper with streaks of orange, brown, and black. With the sun outlining the tree, it looks bistre. She says, "My name is Jackie, I love watching the sunset, I watch it everyday." She looks at the tree amused, "The sky here looks like soil during the fall. This tree looks like roots," she then turns back to them and asks, "Do you think there is a tree underneath us?" Once she finished, the 5 people were sent swirling back to the room with the stone. They hit the ground, bewildered, and started to stand up.

Lily stands up first and helps the white haired boy to his feet. "Are you okay Ethan?"

"Ya, ya, I'm fine," he assured her.

"What does it mean?" Alex asked.

"It's our parallel universe," whispered Rose, looking thoughtfully at the rock.

"Do they want us to go there?" inquired Nathan

"I'm not sure," remarked Lily, "But whatever is it, we must hurry. We're running out of time."
