I was a beast.
And she was an unconventional beauty.
The special type of beauty that you'd miss at first glance.
The type that knew pain.
Beauty that came with war stories and secrets.
And with a fierceness that could tame monsters.

She slayed her own dragons.
And she had looked me in my eyes and told me she'd slay mine.
"I see you"
She had said.
And I truly believed she could.
She had...

She laid out her intentions like a trap in clear sight.
I could see the danger,
The danger that comes with emotions I had no right to be feeling.
She said piecing me together was her new project.
The more pieces she glued,
The less her laughter reached her eyes.
Relapse.

She had prophesied,
With her haunted eyes.
She was a mystery,
A book with a story no one had ever read.
How had no one truly seen her?
This madness,
This beautiful madness.
The slits she wore on her wrists and the scar around her neck.
Her permanent jewelry,
Fit for a goddess.
She said she'd bring me life's meanings.
And she'd bring me a glass of water from the fountain of life.

She,
Who saved my la vie.
Touching parts of me I didn't remember I had.
Sprinkled her face,
Her lips,
Her laugh,
Her taste...
All over my mind.
Before finally succeeding at extinguishing her own light.
