(Second Person POV)

You let out a large belch, satisfied with your dinner. You had eaten the entire pizza in less than an hour. While it may not be very dignified, you didn’t care. All you cared about was the taste, and that was taken care of. Begrudgingly, you sat up, not wanting to go to your bed. All you wanted to do was just lay on your couch and sleep there. Then, something hit you. Why couldn’t you just stay where you were? There was nobody stopping you. So, with that, you laid back down, quickly falling asleep where you were.

In the dead of night, unbeknownst to you, you woke up. Your eyes snapped open, looking around the familiar room. You sat up, cracking your neck. It hurt, and if it hurt, it would prevent much of the plan to succeed. You quickly put on your shoes and stood up. Grabbing a knife and a pair of gardening gloves, you made your way outside.

You stood in the cool night air, taking everything in. Today was a good day. This, you could tell. You started walking, calm and calculated with every step you took. This was going to be fun, you just knew it, as you walked towards the park.

Upon reaching the park, you stopped. It was silent. A bit too silent to your liking, but as you were about to leave, a noise attracted you. Laughter. There seemed to be several voices in the joyous sound. Now, this is going to be fun. A smile crept on your face as you slipped on the gloves, holding the handle of the knife tightly. You snuck into the bushes, making sure to keep your presence hidden. Finally, you could see them. There were two guys and three girls, all seeming to be returning from a party. The joyous laughter coming from them almost caused a scowl to form on your face. Yet, the scowl quickly turned into a smirk as you realized what you would do to them.

Silently snapping your fingers, the group stopped. They hadn’t heard you. No, it was quite the opposite. They were simply frozen, forced to stay there through your power. You made your way out of the foliage and moved towards them. You stayed silent, never talking, as you approached the group. They stared at you with wide eyes, fear evident in their expressions. Your smile simply widened. It was amusing, watching their faces plead for mercy. Unfortunately for them, you weren’t going to give them that. Fortunately for you, there was fun to be had. You made your way to the first person, a young man with short blond hair and dark green eyes. He was a looker, but that wasn’t going to save him.

Pointing your knife at him, you allowed your eyes to say one word. “You.” His eyes grew wider with fear, tears threatening to spill. It didn’t matter to you. None of it did. They could beg and plead for as long as their lungs could allow them, it didn’t make any difference to you.

Keeping him in his frozen state, you decided to go for the arms first. Taking your knife, you carefully cut precision lines on his arms. Delicate and intricate patterns began to form, making you smile in satisfaction. Now, he was fully sobbing, not afraid of being weak in front of his friends. As you finished your job on his arms, he grew quiet. He wasn’t dead, but he wasn’t putting up a fight either. This made you mad. What was the point of tearing someone’s mind apart if they didn’t fight till the last moment? You sighed, looking at him. His eyes were dead as he looked at you, mouthing one word, “Why?”

You chuckled, looking at the pathetic excuse of a human. Looking right into his eyes, you said two words,

W̵͖͍͖̺͉͉͌̽͒̒̈́̀̓̒̿ H̛̺̪̩̰̹͕̠̼̰̃͋͋̑͢ Y̴̡̻̰̗͕͑͋́̔͞ N̫͓̺̗̻̗̙̺͈̂̆̄̔̃̈́̔̏̕ Ȏ̞͓͕̤̦̟̜̼̭̂̈̑͘͢͝ T̟̮̜̺̯̀͑̾̾͠ ?̨̛̥̭̀̐̓̎̎͢͝ͅ

His eyes widened, fear dominating them as you took the knife and swiftly cut his jugular. Seeing his friends, you gave them the same treatment, enjoying every moment of it. With the last person dead, you dragged them all off and positioned them in different poses around the park.

After posing all of them and getting rid of the rest of the evidence, you checked the time on your phone. 12:37 AM. You sighed, angry at yourself for staying up so late, but you were happy with the final product. Going home, you laughed to yourself. Damn, did it feel good. When you got inside, you took off your shoes and laid down on the couch, going back to sleep. You had a dreamless night.

When you woke up, your head was aching, almost as if you had gone drinking the night before. You went into the bathroom and grabbed some Aspirin. You quickly took it and walked back into your living room. You didn’t bother getting dressed since you had nothing planned for the day. You turned on the TV, going to see what the news had to offer you this morning.

“Earlier today, five individuals were found dead in the community park. Their bodies had been placed around the park in different areas and positions. There were delicate designs on all of the victims’ arms and their necks had been cut. They are said to have died somewhere around 10:30 to 11:30 last night. All footage on security cameras had been cut during the murders. If anyone has any information on the victims, please contact us by calling the number down below.” The anchorwoman said, a grim expression on her face. The number for the police station scrolled on the bottom of the screen after she had finished the announcement. You were shocked. There had been previous murders, but none as bad as this. You sat there in shock, as a strong knock sounded on the door.
