Chapter 16 : Gone

I dropped to my knees. This could not be happening. She was gone. My girlfriend got killed by some maniac who shot her. It was the worst day of my life.

I ran out of the stadium we were playing at and ran home. I didn't care about the show anymore. I didn't care. I just didn't care.

The girl who had completely changed my life and turned it upside down was gone forever. The first day I met her was the best day of my life. She was my best friend. Since the beginning. The beautiful girl who never knew it, but I said it in my mind everyday. The girl with the brown hair, blue eyes and who was never the tallest. She was the one who lit up my world and was never scared. The girl who beat up guys yet always had a soft side and couldn't deal with all the bullying yet out it aside and went on in life. The girl who u spent everyday with back in Ireland and the girl who was my inspiration.

Gone.

I whipped open the door to her apartment. It was black and empty. The smell wafted through the air and it reminded me of her. More tears.

I slammed the door and locked it. I ran up the stairs and into her bedroom. I jumped into her bed sobbing into her pillow.

I grabbed one of her sweaters and pulled it in close. Her soccer jersey laid on the top of her dresser. I snatched it and ran out the door.

On the walls of the apartment were thousands of pictures of her family and friends. On one side was of me and her. Memories flowed back.

I ran out of the flat and to the airport. I had to get there now. I ordered a ticket and hopped on the plane. The boys were probably worried but this was important.

We arrived in Canada hours later. It was snowy and beautiful. I races to the hotel they stayed at and police cars and ambulances were surrounding the hotel.

I could see Keera's brothers with year streaming down their cheeks. Her parents were sobbing over a body and her dad was trying to calm them all down.

Keera's brother, James noticed me. He hung his head and walked over. He was in a suit and tie. He put his hand on my shoulder and patted it.

"Man, I... I am so sorry" I managed.

"It's... It's okay Niall." He sighed.

We didn't say much. We had a funeral. Keera's body was peaceful as a shot person could be. We all cried. It was devastating.

I went home and laid back in bed. It was all over now. My girlfriend was gone, she was murdered, my best friend who I had left for the X Factor gone.

It was all just on huge nightmare. A horrifying nightmare that never stopped. I was gonna ask her to marry me. I was going to propose.

And guess what. It was all just a dream.

Some started shaking me awake and I woke up. It was Keera. We were in her room alone. Tears were streaming down my face.

"Niall are you okay? We have to get going to my brothers playoff games. They start tonight." She says worried.

"KEERA!" I screamed. I pulled her into a hug and kissed her. "I missed you so much please never go again"
