Briley and Em?

"If he wakes up?" I ask. "What is wrong? how did this happen?" I'm freaking out. "We are not sure. it might be better if you go home and not worry about this." the doctor says.

CHAPTER 3

I don't want to go home, But I go anyway. When I get there, Em is sitting on the porch. With Briley. Briley went home an hour before me. "Em" I shout, "What are you doing with my brother, At my house?" I'm practically screaming. Briley starts to speak. "it's ok Cali. Em. Em..... is. mmmmy---" "My what?!?! Spit it out already!" I'm shouting. I need to calm down, but I can't. "MY GIRLFRIEND!" he shouts back me. I'm mad now. "Your WHAT??? HOW COULD YOU!" "Cali??" "Yea?" I spin around to see who it is. Joey. "Oh. Hi.. Joey." Gosh. Now I feel stupid. I really like him. "I heard about your dad. Is he ok?" "I'm not sure. I don't want to talk about it." "Ok. Wanna go somewhere? I can drive." "Umm sure." It turned out he really could drive. He had a 1960 convertible mustang. I didn't know he was even old enough to drive. "So you're sixteen?" I ask. "Almost 17." He says, "My birthdays next month." "Cool, where exactly are we going?" I ask. "You'll see." After about 20 minutes of driving we reach a strawberry/blueberry/blackberry/raspberry field. "We have arrived to our destination!" We both laugh.
**after berry picking**
"That was so much fun!" I say. "I know!!" Then we go to a little field in the woods and he asks me to sit on the hood with him. We sit for hours just talking and laughing and eating the fruit we picked. "It's getting late. we should go." I say. "Cali." He says. I look at him. "Yea?" Then he leans in and kisses me. Full out kisses. Finally Joey pulls away. "Ok. Let's go." We get in the car and drive away. He holds my hand the whole way to my house.
"Bye Joey!" I say when we get to my house. "See you tomorrow!" he says driving away. My moms car still isn't in the drive way. "Briley!" "Upstairs" he shouts back. When I walk upstairs I find him watching TV with Em. "Hi Briley, Hey Em." I say. Why is she sitting in my house. Ugg I'm going to have to burn my brothers whole room. I need to stay calm. "Hey. Mom called. She said she wasn't going to be home tonight but she'll be back at noon tomorrow." "Ok" I respond, "I'm going to bed. Have fun! bye Em." Then I walk to my room and ignore the TV in the room next to me. I fall asleep thinking about Joey.
