Star gazing

I can't pull away. I like the way his hands feel on mine. Soft. Warm. Sweet.

Chris is one of my brothers friends. I've seen him around before. Short, dark brown hair, crazy blue eyes. "Hey! Love birds. What next?" Chris asks. "Just drive around for a little bit." Joey says.

<JOEY'S POV>

Gosh she is beautiful. Really beautiful. Every time she smiles my heart melts. We are driving on the dirt roads. I'm playing with her fingers and she's laughing at every bump we hit. She's playful and energetic. Just one reason I like her. Her laugh is contagious. We hit another bump and we all start laughing. We are falling into each other and moving with every turn. I kind of want to kiss her. She falls over into my lap, she stays there, laughing. So perfect. Cali. All of Cali is perfect. She sits up and looks into my eyes. I return the gesture. I can't help it. I lean in and kiss her.

<CALI'S POV>

He.... He kissed me. I'm slowly pulling away but then he deepens the kiss. I'm enjoying this, but I'm not letting his tongue in my mouth. He bites my lip gently which causes me to open my mouth a little bit. Crap. He toyed with me. His tongue found it's way in and it tastes every part of my mouth. I don't want to pull away but I have to, my phone is ringing. I pull away. His eyes are sparkling when he finally opens them. Gosh. So hot. "Are you going to answer that cupcake?" Joey asks. "Oh. Oh. Yeah." I answer it. "Hello?" "Hey sweetie! Your orthodontist called and said it's about time to get your braces off." It's my mom. I didn't know they called and told you it was time for my braces to come off but I guess that's how it happens. "Okay. Cool. We'll talk later." Then I hang up. I go back to searching Joeys perfect eyes. Next thing I know is that we are kissing again. Deeply. The golf cart stops, but that doesn't stop the kiss. Chris finally tells us to get up. When I look around I see that we are in a field and there's a blanket laying out. "Stargazing?" I ask. "Yes" responds Joey. Then Chris gets on the golf cart and leaves. "Where's he going?" I ask. "Don't worry about it." Joey says sweetly, "Just lay down." I lay my head on his chest and he plays with my hair. It's like that for about an hour, but then my phone goes off. Again. This time it's a text. "Hey sis, it's B. Moms not home and I'm going to Ems. Have fun!" Okay. I decide to turn my phone off and focus on Joey. I lay back down. He smiles his sweet smile at me. I melt. I think we fall asleep like that.

CHAPTER 6

"Cal? Wake up." I hear Joey say. "Hey gorgeous. It's 8 am." I open my eyes.

<JOEYS>

Her eyes flutter open. Beautiful. I feel bad for waking her up. "Hey." she says. "Chris will be by any moment with donuts." I say. "Okay." Then she lays her head back down and looks up at the sky. She starts sing little bits of a song. "All.. from you is to see you...... Is it to much to ask...... people make promises........ heart with a knife.......... you can be that guy...... heal it.... your..... come true with me.... its... not a bad thing to fall in love with me." "Amazing!" Then she looks up at me. I can sense that something's going to happen. She sits up and motions me to do the same. Once I'm sitting up she hugs me. Long and sweet.
