Jerome's POV

"Mitch what's wrong with your voice?"

He looks at the ground, pain filling his eyes.

"What did they do to you?" I whisper.

He points to his arms.

I gasp in shock.

His arms and the rest of his body that I can see is covered in bruises and scratches.

"Oh my Notch, Mitch!" I put a hand over my mouth.

He looks me in the eyes and smiles sadly.

"So they tortured you till you couldn't talk anymore?"

He nods.

I slam my fist into the ground, cracking it.

"This isn't right." I grumble.

He takes my hand and makes me write with my claw.

'It's not your fault.'

I sigh deeply and look him in the eyes.

I hear a groan and Jason's voice.

"Jerome? who are you talking to?"

"Mitch." I answer.

"Hey Mitch, welcome back to the cells." Jason says.

Mitch looks at me sadly.

"Jason, Mitch can't talk... they tortured him past his breaking point... he's mute." I mumble, looking away from Mitch's eyes.

Mitch croaks as if trying to say something but I ignore it.

I walk over to the corner and sit facing it.

"How'd you get out of your chains?" Nega Squid's voice booms, startling me a little bit.

"I ripped them off." I grumble.

"Squidlox! Bring the bacca to Solitary Confinement!" Nega Squid roars.

I tense up as Mitch gasps.

He croaks and tries to protest but fails.

Squidlox walks in and grabs me, roughly.

It pulls me off the ground and pushes me towards the cell door.

Mitch starts to cry out and try to pull Squidlox's arms off of mine.

"Mitch, I don't want you to get hurt more. Just don't." I mumble.

He looks at me with shock, but shrinks away to a corner.

"I'll see you on the other side Biggums." I smile weakly at him and catch my last glimpse of my best friend.

Squidlox drags me out the door and down a dark hallway.

He pauses at an iron door and shoves me through it.

I land on the cold hard ground with a grunt.

I look at Squidlox as it walks away without any hesitation or emotion.

Sighing, I look around the room.

Squids surround me and it feels as though their looking into my soul.

I shudder and look away from the squids, only to look back at them when a slimy tentical wraps around my arm.

I cut it off with a flick of my wrist, making the squid squeal.

I smirk a little and it glares at me.

More tenticals wrap around my arms and start to drag me farther into the room.
