I knocked on the door loudly since there was a bunch of squealing girls and music blaring. After what felt like 5 minutes the door flew open. And standing on the other side was

Carson...

Chapter 7:

I stood there shocked. Was I at the wrong house? But this has to be it. Making sure I unlocked my phone and checked the address. 227 Pine street. This can only mean one thing Carson must live here. Shoot me now.

The good for nothing jerk gave me a smirk and crossed his arms across his chest. He stood all tall and mighty... Cocky prick.

I glared at him. "I came for my sister Victoria, I'm pretty sure she's in here some where" I said. Carson nodded his head and opened the door wider. "Are you going to come in or not?" He asked. Before I was even able to respond a gorgeous brunet lady came running to the door with a smile "Carson! What's wrong with you? Don't leave the poor girl standing out there." I tried to keep a straight face, Carson being scowled at is quite the entertainment. Now I know who this lady is! She was in a picture with Carson. This must be his mother? "Sweetie come on in" she said motioning me in. I smiled and walked into the big house. "Thank you, I'm just here to pick up my sister Victoria" The lady smiled. "Vicky! Right. Yes such a sweet girl. I'll go and get her. Carson please offer our guest a drink" I looked up at Carson who seemed pissed off more then ever.

Once the kind lady left Carson broke the silence. "What do you want to drink?" He asked with boredom filling his voice. "I'm ok." Carson shook his head as if something was bothering him. "Is there a problem?" I asked. He gave me a scowling look, "ya why do you have to be so fucking difficult." Is he being serious right now? I crossed my arms and glared at him. "So not wanting a drink is being difficult?" He looked me straight in the eyes. "Yeah, it does, everything about you is difficult. I say sorry and you freak out. I offer you a drink and you blow it off."

I rolled my eyes at all his nonsense.

"You called that an apology? I'm pretty sure a 3 year old could've done better. You say sorry and basically throw it back at my face by telling me I had it coming! Me not wanting a drink doesn't make me difficult." Carson shifted on his feet and a look of amusement was on his face. He turned away from me and headed towards what seemed like the kitchen. "Follow me" he said. I followed the jerk into the kitchen. He poured me a glass of soda and handed it to me. "I don't know what you like, so here." Why is he being... Nice? I shrugged it off and thanked him. A few seconds later the lady from before came in. "Hi guys, sweetie I never got your name?" "My names Riley" I said. The lady nodded her head. "The girls are going through their surprise bags would you mind waiting a few more minutes?" She asked. I nodded my head. "Yes, that'll be alright." The sooner I get to leave the happier I'll be. "Ok dear. Carson why don't you show Riley around while I get a start on the mess down stairs." Carson groaned, but it was cut short right when the lady gave him a long hard glare. She left the kitchen leaving Carson and I alone again. He cleared his throat and turned to face me. "So, this is the kitchen" he said motioning with his hands. I nodded my head. He walked out of the kitchen into a beautiful dinning room. "This is where we eat" he said.

This felt so weird for me, Carson can actually be civilized and normal. Being a jerk isn't a full time job for him. He then walked us into a big living room with a huge flat screen. "And this is the living room. "Nice" I said. "Well since we are already down stairs I'll show you the back yard." I shrugged and motioned for him to lead the way.
"This is it" I stood astonished by the beautiful backyard that stood in front of me. It was like a masterpiece. There was lights hanging over top of our heads and a huge hot tub. There was a wooden deck that stood in the middle of their backyard, I think maybe for dancing. "This is beautiful" I said. "Ya very peaceful too, my mom designed it." He said. "Is your mom a designer?" I asked, he nodded his head. "Ya she does it for a living." I walked a bit further to take in the beautiful masterpiece. I spun around and looked back at Carson who was watching me intently. He stood there still with both hands tucked into his pockets. He looked handsome like that. His brown hair framed his face perfectly and his green eyes popped out at me. He walked over to me. "You know, you're pretty hot. I'd actually bang you." And he's back. "Pig" he laughed. "Come on you can't resist this" he said motioning towards his body. "Yes I can" he looked at me and shook his head with amusement. "Guess we will have to see huh?" I looked at him with my arms crossed. "You know, the only reason I'm talking to you is because your mother is so kind and I don't want to be rude." Carson walked onto the dance floor. "So you're never going to forgive me?" He asked. "Most likely not." He nodded his head. "Alright fine. Guess Im going to have to make you" I gave him a confused look while joining him on the dance floor. We sat together staring up at the lights. "How do you plan on doing that?" He faced me. "You'll see." Before I even got a word out his mother called us in.

Once in the house Vicky was saying her goodbyes. "Riley! This is Lauren!" a girl around Victorias age was standing around her friends. she was a gorgeous girl. Long brown hair same colour as Carson's and big brown eyes, she was breath taking. "Hi Lauren" she smiled and waved. "Carson she's pretty you should definitely keep this one." Shocked I looked towards Carson who seemed calm and collected. "Lauren do me a favour and get out of my life." She gave Carson a glare. "He's a jerk, you can do better anyways" I smiled at her. Think I might like Lauren. "Thank you, alright Vick ready?" I asked. She nodded. Vicky gave her friends a goodbye hug, "Let's go" she said as she lead the way out I followed after her. I heard footsteps following me So I turned around to see that it was Carson's. He smirked. "Coming home with me?" I asked with sarcasm in my voice. "How much you paying sunshine" I gasped and turned around. I slapped him on the shoulders "this is why I refuse to forgive you." He laughed "you hit like a girl." I shook my head. "I was playing around Riley" he said while putting his arm around my shoulders and leading me out the doors. I looked down at his arm and for some weird reason I felt very comfortable, but that comfort was so quickly replaced with fear. I shrugged his arms off. "Don't touch me" I said. We stood in front of his door, Vicky was already waiting in the car for me. "Thanks for the tour and being sort of nice." he smirked, "I apologized so I won't be that mean to you, maybe annoy you a little, but I'll go easy." I rolled my eyes while stepping away and making my way to the truck. "Hey" Carson said stopping me on my tracks. I turned around to see what he wanted. "You're different from a lot of the girls here, I plan on making things right" he gave me his classic coky smirk and closed the door leaving me standing there confused. What does he mean by me being different? If Carson thinks he's going to get in my pants he's got something else coming his way. I made my way to the truck and started the engine. Vicky was already fast asleep.

~

Minutes later I was parked outside my front house. "Vick we are here." She moaned and grounded before opening her eyes. She stepped out of the truck rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. "Where's dad? his car isn't here" She said. "He's at work" I opened the front door. "I'm going to bed, night Riley." I closed the house door behind us and made sure to lock them, "night Vicky."

That night I laid in bed with only one person roaming my mind, Carson. His words repeated themselves inside my head, I couldn't help but wonder about what he meant.
I shoved the thoughts away and closed my eyes. Sleep crept up on mean and all together I was out.
