Moving On

Chapter Three

As soon as I emerged from the hallway all fourteen pairs of eyes looked my way. Each side left a spot open so I could sit. I could see the hopeful look on some of Blackborne team's eyes, hoping that I would go and sit with them like when we were in high school. Us against the world. I looked away and took my place on the opposite side. Raven pulled my into his lap, normally I would relax into their body when they did this but this just made me tense up even more, especially when North let out a loud growl at the act. I tried to push myself off and on to the spot next to him but he just gripped my waist harder.

"Net. You are mine. Stay moy malen'kiy voin." Raven grumbled and with that I relaxed into his chest.

"I'm not going any where bol'shay medved'." I whispered back.

"Hey! Get your hands off Sang baby." yelled North.

"You don't have a say on what we can and can not do with malen'kiy voin South. And last time I saw Sang didn't seem to mind." Raven smirked.

"Oi motherfucker! What did you just say?" And with that both parties began yelling at each other. North and Raven were tearing at each others throats and Brandon and Marc kept instigating the fight with Gabriel and Nathan making snide comments. All the yelling was starting to give me a headache and I was sure that Autumn was going to start wondering what we were doing out here.

"Enough." I called out but with the damage done to my throat they couldn't hear me. Thankfully I picked up a handy trick when things like this happened. I put two fingers in my mouth and let out a sharp whistle. All the noise stopped and they stared at me. "Enough. Look I don't know what you're doing here but you guys broke my heart 5 years ago. I've moved on and I think you should too."

"Ms. Sorenson, I know that we have hurt you but please give us a chance to explain." plead Owen. I never seen him so desperate before so I nodded my head for him to continue. "I'm not quite sure how much of our conversation you heard but from the little information Dr. Robert's has told us, you believe that we no longer loved you is that correct?"

"I heard you say that that day after I got home from the hospital." I replied.

"While it was true we did agree that you would be better off without. After you left we came to the realization that we had taken you for granted. We thought that the feelings we had for you were just wanting to protect you from your step mother but we were wrong. Now that we have found you we want you back." he concluded.

I didn't know what to say. The me 5 years ago would have jumped at the opportunity to be with them again but me now. I'm don't know. Yes, the Blackborne team saved me all those years ago but I'm not that same scared little girl that needed saving.

"I'm sorry. I- I'm with the Toma team now. I have a life here and Autumn she goes to school here and has friends."

"Who is she anyway?" asked Luke.

"She's my daughter. She just turned 4 last month." I said.

"4? That's how long ago... Is she one of ours?" asked Sean. I looked at the ground not sure what how to respond.

"That's actually why I was visiting Dr. Roberts that day." I explained.

"You were pregnant? We were going to leave you and you were pregnant?" whispered Luke in shock.

"I should probably explain."

Flashback

After I got on the plane I realized that I had no idea what I was going to do after I landed. Phil had  told me that I was taken care of but still. I was never truly alone before and the thought scared me. The flight to Houston wasn't a long one since Phil was able to get me to a one stop flight. As soon as I landed I pulled out the burner phone that Phil had given me before I left.
