Maxine's P.O.V

(Continuation of where I left off.)

"I have to go to Austin's house and get my puppy." I mumble after a long, soothing silence.

Daniel sits up straighter and looks down at me. "Why?" Well it's not like it was for anything like crazy I just had to go and get my puppy and bring him to my grandmothers house for someone to watch him. A visit to my grandmother was quite overdue to begin with and I think I want her to meet Austin one day.

"I have to get Romeo and bring him to my grandmothers house,"

He nods slowly as he begins playing with the ends of my hair. "I've been wanting to see my grandmother anyway. It's been a while since we last saw each other."

"Yeah, I understand. But can I meet your grandmother? That'd be wicked cool." Daniel says, smiling at me for the millionth time today.

There's no harm in my band mates meeting my family as far as I know, so why should I say no to him?

"Sure, I guess but the band needs to be ready by noon because it's about a five hour drive there." I respond as I begin standing up from our spot against the wall. He agrees to wrangle up the group and have them at my place by noon before I leave.

I wave my goodbyes to everyone and head for my car. I'm pretty tired and all I really want is to get my dog and go home but that's like another two hours before I can actually go home to my bed.

As I head out of the parking lot to pull into the main road, my phone starts to ring.

"Who is calling me right now!" I grumble as I try and keep my vision focused on the road. My fingers swipe across the phone which is connected to my radio.

"Hello?" I say as I stop at a red light. There is a lot of shuffling in the background before someone actually speaks.

"Max!" Austin's familiar voice says loudly through the phone. Well he got a new phone rather quickly but thats okay so now I can call and annoy him whenever now while I'm on tour.

"Hi Austin,"

(I really didn't know what to make their conversation turn into so fast foreward to when shes at home)

Austin stayed on the phone with me the whole ride to and from his house, which I was more than thankful for. Now I'm currently setting up Romeo's bed in my room for him to lay in and tonight I think I have the place to myself because Jaime and Thalia are probably are gonna end up doing the frick frack at his place. They are one special couple but it's okay because he makes her happy and that's all that matters.

After Romeo is all settled, who which by the way has been sleeping since we left Austin's place, he's a puppy so I guess it's expected from him. I strip off the clothing I've been in all day and head to the bathroom to shower. Once I step inside the shower I let out a soothing breath, the water relaxes my muscles which are a bit tense for unknown reasons. While washing my face I hear a bang outside of the bathroom door which is peculiar because I'm supposed to be here alone tonight. I quickly rinse the remainder of soap off my face and scurry out of the shower. Once my towel is securely wrapped around my body, I cautiously open the door and poke my head out to see who is there. When I see nobody there I walk out of the bathroom completely and hurry to my room.

I quickly get dressed in sweatpants and a random tank top I brought a few years back when I went on a trip to Santa Monica with my grandparents. Once I'm dressed I shut the light off and crawl into my bed settling deep into the comforters. Just as my eyes slowly shut, almost sending me to sleep I hear another noise in the hallway. I get out of my bed and grab the bat that I always have saved near me incase someone breaks in or something like that. My feet make quiet thuds against the hardwood flooring in my room. Once I open the door to my room, I am met with darkness in the hallway. I move out of my room completely, fully into the hallway. Suddenly a figure moves and I raise the bat over my head, hitting the shadowed stranger. The stranger lets out a yelp of pain before falling down onto it's back.
