It's now Wednesday and I officially feel like shit, the subsided enough for me to walk around. my hips were still sore, I got up and saw a bunch of text messages from Mark.
Mark: Hey!! That Jason dude is pretty cool I gave him my number so if he gets lost we can go find him lmao
Yesterday 5:10
Mark: okay well I thought it was pretty funny.
Mark: I know you're having a bad day but can you please tell me what's going on.
Mark: Em, I can help you with what's bothering you... I'm here for you okay?
Mark: Please answer me, I'm scared.
I yet again cussed at myself for hurting him. God, I'm such a fuck up... I need to be there for him what the hell is wrong with me. I got ready while fighting the urge to cry, If something happens to him It's gonna be my fucking fault! Snap the fuck out of this! I dragged myself to school and went to go where me and Mark wait for each other to walk to class. I walked to the front of the building and saw Mark waiting by the tree, but he wasn't the only one.
"Hey there Jason," I said reluctantly I glanced at Mark and could see the obvious exhaustion in his eyes. I felt guilty for making him worry but I was just so exhausted from what happened the night before. Jason looked towards me and smiled,
"Hey Emily, you okay you look like you've got in a fight?" I looked back at him.
"I'm fine, we're gonna be late to class let's go."
"well, actually I have a different class this morning I got to go to L.A for the first block so I'll see you guys later." I felt relieved as he walked away, I looked at Mark and frowned
"Mark, I'm really really sorry. My sister had a fit last night and flipped the table on top of me. And I was just so tired an-" before I could finish rambling I was stopped by Mark hugging me. I then began to rest into his arms and hug him back. He tightened his grip and I could hear him fighting tears. I held tight; then suddenly my eyes went black again. I kept my grip hoping he wouldn't let go while this was happening. I could see a close up of a hand holding another I focused on the background of the hands and the only other thing I could see was white. I then began to hear muffled voices and footsteps. Before anything else happened my vision came back. Mark let go a couple seconds after that Thank god that was close. He looked down at me exhaustedly,
"No, Em I'm sorry. You're going through something and I've been a terrible friend... If you don't want to tell me what's going on that's ok. But just know that I'm here for you and I'm not going anywhere." I smiled,
"thank you, Mark, I'm just stressed with family drama and school work. I'll be okay soon, I promise." It's not completely lying. He smiled and nudged me,
"Okay I believe you, let's go to class before we're late." We walked to class together and we were acting more like our normal self, even though both of us is exhausted. Once we got there we sat together and got our books out. I started to feel a little nauseous, the room was beginning to spin. I tried to focus on my desk and it slowly went away. I took a deep breath and sighed. Mark looked at me and I nodded towards the teacher to show I was sighing because of something she said. He smiled and nodded in agreement even though we both know neither of us is listening.
That was the only class we had that didn't have Jason in it. Jason would talk Marks ear off every class, they would laugh then get in trouble for laughing. They would ask me something every now and then, and Mark would try to get me to laugh at Jasons pathetic jokes. But it felt weird, there was something off about Jason, I don't know what but there's something about him.
I was alone in my last two classes, Mark and Jason had together while I had language arts. I hate this class, it's so fucking boring I thought while rolling my eyes. As I was drifting my eyes went to pitch black and forced a quick vision. It was me staring into space, the teacher asked a question so I focused on what she said, it didn't come out very clear but I finally got it to work.
"Mrs. Rose where does the comma go?" I looked at her and froze, I know the answer but wasn't prepared. The vision stopped and I could see again. It's about to happe-
"Mrs. Rose where does the comma go?" she asked with confidence that I'd get it wrong. I looked up and smiled,
"after the word go,"(AN: haha get it.. because the comma is.. after.. the word.. go. ha? No okay..) the class turned and looked at me confused on how I got that.
"Oh, ok you got lucky next time... Uh pay attention," I smirked at her and glared at the rest of the students.
After that boring class, I walked to math and saw my friend Sarah waiting for me by our table. I walked over and smiled at her, she saw me and patted on a seat for me to sit in.
"Hey, asswhipe! How are yeah?" She said while smirking. I lightly pushed her,
"Hey bitch, I'm doing great how about you?" She laughed and rolled her eyes before she could answer the teacher walked in and shushed the whole class. Mr. Williams glared at the entire class and walked over to his seat. He laid back in his chair and put his feet on his desk. He picked up a book and started reading as if he forgot we exist. Somebody coughed and he looked up from his book, me and Sarah glanced at each other concerned.
"Do whatever you want, I don't have anything for you guys." He remarked, I smiled at Sarah and rolled my eyes. He must be hungover again, I opened my bag and pulled out a Mtn Dew and relaxed.
"I don't have nothing to do, what do you wanna talk about?" Sarah asked me,
"Ugh, I don't know how abou-" Before I could say anything she interrupted me she was always a "No fucks given type of girl." Not scared of anything, a rebel, and always in detention.
"Have you seen the new kid?" Before I could answer she continued, "he's pretty hot, and I see him talking to Mark. Two dreamy boys *sigh, one for me and one for you!" She says while winking. What?! I don't trust the new boy and I don't have a crush on Mark... I-I don't. Shut up me!
"No, Jason, the new boy, there's something off about him." She whipped her head back and stared at me astonished.
"Are you high right now! He's like h-o-t, fine he's mine then. You can have Mark." She started laughing hysterically as I shoved her and put headphones in. Ugh, the things I have to deal with...
