On that particular day, I can honestly say I was only half paying attention to the game I was playing, the sounds of bullets and missiles coming from far away and despite the short utterances of 'Oh come on' and similar down my headpiece, I couldn't tell you if I was actually winning or losing. I couldn't tell you either what flavour the remains of the takeaway pizza were. My mind was completely somewhere else, on what I considered then to be bigger things.

The name is Jacob, and I looked like a scruffy teen: I had shaggy, dirty blonde hair (I certainly remember that), and sharp blue eyes. Chris had told me once that I had eyes that pierced into people's being, but I don't know if that is true. Chris had been my best friend. Had. The reason for this is due to his leaving for a new village and not turning up. My heart was concerned about this, but I had life to get on with so not much. We had met randomly as I passed by his orphanage. I envied his life: he didn't have to worry about nagging parents; he could be a true individual. That was our greatest difference: he wanted to be loved and wanted the world to be a better place. I wanted just to be alone (well, not totally alone, but able to choose when I wanted to talk to someone, like in the online world of gaming) and I couldn't care less about the world. If people wanted to make war or other such stuff, that was their choice. Personally, I liked the idea of chaos in the world, of throwing the whole rules of society of on a tangent and creating mischief. Suppose that's why I hadn't made any friends, that me and Chris had grown distant and was unemployed: people saw me as a little unhinged. Not really, I just had different interests. I survived though, in a tiny flat that my parents had paid for. They did that with a lot of willingness, almost like they wanted to get me out of the house.

Anyway, that's me out of the way so let's get back to what actually happened. I said earlier that I wasn't really playing the game. No, my mind was wondering, as usual, about other worlds. I mean, think about. What if the games you played were really other worlds? What if there were other dimensions out there? Would life be better or worse? What would change? Scientists were working on the parallel universe theory and I wondered how cool it would be to look at each one. To feel like a tourist but also to gain knowledge, be a complete master of all realms. Maybe I could also change a few things myself in each world, just to add a bit of mayhem, especially if the worlds were boring.

As if in response to my thoughts, a new voice came up in my headset. I didn't know who it was, except it was male and stern, but was freaked out a little that they seemed to know what I was thinking.

"So, you like the idea of different dimensions and causing chaos?"

I looked at the player list. No one else was added to it. I was getting more concerned by the moment.

"Yeah..." I said uncertainly.

"Then turn around."

I did, and jumped up, off the sofa and dropping my controls and taking off my headset. This was a really weird scene. Imagine a small living room, littered with pizza boxes and with the sound of warfare from a TV, a boy in a dark grey jacket, red and grey striped shirt and navy blue jeans looking at two robed figures, one in white and one in black. Yeah, bizarre right. I just stared at them.

The one in white, who I now noticed had dark skin, spoke in an equally stern female voice. "Would you like to become a legend of chaos?"

I tried giving them my best Grumpy Cat face (I love memes by the way). Just what were they on about?

The male one got impatient. "We're being serious. Giving you a chance to see dimensions and have your own..."

Wait, my own dimension? My mind buzzed, but mostly with the idea of being in control, of creating my own ideas of fun. Well, I wasn't going to let this opportunity pass.
"Well, what does the fox say?"

They stared at me blankly. Do these guys not know these things? I sighed.

"Ok, offer accepted, though I'm guessing there's some sort of, no offense, catch."

"There is..." The white one said.

She snapped her fingers and suddenly I wasn't in my flat anymore. Heck, I didn't know where I was, there was just shadow everywhere, black darkness. If this was a dimension, it was seriously dull.

Then the ground below me shone white. I looked down at the glow then saw something incredible. My legs, they were...getting thicker. My amazement was quickly replaced by pain: sharp snaps along my bones as they broke and reformed, my muscles collapsing upon one another, and my toes were being sucked together, the sudden joining bringing the most pain of all. The bone hardened around my toes and my socks were completely shredded by the move. Two new golden points, like diamonds, formed, with two miniature yellow claws at the edges. The rest of my legs continued to swell until my jeans could bare it no more, shredding and leaving my limbs. Just as well, for two more pointed triangles burst out from just above and below my knee caps, creating almost a guard against them. I was screaming, but no one could hear my screaming in this darkness. If anyone was there, they just ignored me. Instantaneously, the whole of my skin became clad in grey. I was about to at least touch it, though really I wanted to clench my new legs, when my pain increased ten times.

This next change is the hardest to put into words. I'll do my best. It began with the sudden drop of my shoulder blades to about where my stomach was. Obviously my screams became louder before my throat got hoarse from all the shouting and became a mere whisper. Once that had happened, my neck began growing upwards, shooting my head along with it. It became very hard to breathe, until I felt my lungs and heart shift upwards with it, my rib cage becoming wider and forming the base of my new body. Everything got thicker and I got taller, but all I felt was chunky movements from within, the only outward feeling was the sudden rip of my clothes before they vanished somewhere into the darkness, my whole body being re-written. There was something else being placed in my veins, something very unique, but as all I really felt was pain and terror, I couldn't truly fear it. The only other thought in my brain was that I shouldn't have accepted the offer, that I was crazy to have done so...all this thinking stopped when I finally registered what had become of my body. The same unending grey was around me, bar down my centre. This was a long rectangle filled with black and red stripes. Along the sides of my now huge neck were three golden triangles. Just what was I becoming?

Then, my back (or at least some of my back) crunched. Whimpering, I fell onto the white light, now seeming larger than ever (or was it simply that I was bigger and it had grown with me?). I twisted my neck to see and gasped as my arms changed. The change was identical to my legs, except that this time, the transformation started at my body, thickening past my elbows onto my hands. My wrist seemed to fade away, the least painful aspect so far, while my fingers and thumbs merged into the same diamonds of gold. Little marks around my once shoulder blades and pelvis formed, showing black lines. Great, I thought, now becoming at least accustomed to the hurt. I'm a quadruped. I quickly learnt that wasn't true when my sides, between arms and legs, bulged and, in my horror, I gaped as something began forming. It was thick, and grey, and with golden triangles around...Yeah, if I hadn't have been so stunned, I would have really, really been freaking out, more so than I had done already. Soon, they were complete, and just like my other limbs. I had six legs. Six!

There seemed to be a temporary lull in my transformation. Now I could really examine myself. I was clearly becoming something big, something weird, something spooky...No, I had to think clearly. I had to work out why this thing was a 'legend of chaos'. Was it simply because it was strange looking? No, because I felt a strange sensation earlier. What was it? I felt a slight wiggling at the end of my new body which distracted me. I watched, well half watched, as a small but thick and heavy tail with two black bands slowly grew outwards. Ok, so I had a tail now. I had experienced much worse with this body.

Now the worst had come, for I felt my whole head building in size. Strangely enough, it wasn't as painful, I simple scrunched my face, but maybe that was because I had got so used to the pain. The sides of my head: my cheeks, my ears and some of my forehead, hardened and sharpened. I couldn't see the changes properly, but I guessed (it was a correct guess too), that I now had a golden diamond head case. The bits around my cheeks were pointed downwards like miniature fangs, the sides were pointed triangles and there was a kind of golden arch around my head. My hair fell off, causing me to shake my head to get the long strands out of the way; leaving me with a bald grey head. Part of my golden helmet merged with the bottom of my jaw, while lips and nose became hidden away in a darker shade of grey. As my eyes changed to a slanted position, something attacked my mind.

I've already admitted that in terms of war and other such disasters of the world, I couldn't care less. I have also said that I like the idea of trouble and other worlds. Let's just say that suddenly becoming a giant monster heightened those feelings. Thanks to the information that was processing itself rapidly through my mind, I now had an idea of what I was...and I loved it. I was becoming a Giratina, a Pokémon (thought they were make believe creatures, turns out they aren't). A ghostly dragon that basically governed all worlds bar those reliant on time and space (there were dimensions like that? COOL!). I could open portals at will. I could use the forces of shadows. I had a sudden interest in graveyards and cemeteries (the number of people I could scare, ha!) and all things reflective (seeing things in reverse...I liked the sound of that). I was still me, but I was a better me. I was a legendry of chaos. Now, if only I had some wings...

As if in response, I felt growths start from behind my long neck. I just stood regally, feeling these last changes. These things were huge, yet tatty, almost like shredded pieces of cloth. The black of them merged with the darkness around me, but I could just make them out thanks to some of the ends becoming red, pointed daggers. I had wings...I really had wings. Perfect...

The white light around my base suddenly shot out, forcing me to close my now pure red eyes with beady black pupils. When I opened them, I gasped in a rather deep voice. This place...defied everything. Gravity clearly didn't have an effect here. Every piece of land was placed in random places like on their sides, upside down. It looked like some kind of Escher picture! This really was a chaotic land. It explained why I was in my body's altered form. It was also my own realm, my own place of complete control that looked totally uncontrolled. Even more perfect...

On one of these pieces, standing sideways, I saw the robed ones. So, they had been here. The white one spoke.

"Welcome to the Reverse World, your new domain. We'll keep you in your altered form for a little while, just so that you can get used to your new body."

I bowed my head, before a mischievous smile came to my face. I flew past them, riding fast on my giant wings. They didn't move, but I like to think that they were secretly shaking in fear. I went to explore, though the white one did try to make a joke.

"You look pale. Afraid of a little chaos?"

The black one didn't reply, which, from what I remember, made the white robed one rather startled in the face. Don't know why I remember that, or why I'm talking to myself. It doesn't matter. Jacob is gone; I am the lord of chaos!
