The one where it's all a fairytail.

One Upon A Time....

There was a village boy named Virgil. He was laughed at and picked on for his same sex parents, Logan and Patton.

For years he kept to himself.

He never told anyone about his thoughts or feelings. He has never had a real friend. He was always scolded for his dark and calm demeanor and his way of seeing the negative parts in everyone and everything.

That is, until be met Roman.

 Prince Roman.

He was a very charming and lovable boy. He always saw everything as resourceful and he was known for his creativity. Roman taught himself to see the light in everything, even if times were rough. He taught himself this after his l father, Thomas, died of an arrow to the side. It was then left to his mother, Joan, to raise him.

The young prince was only fourteen when he could finally see his subjects on his own without his guards. Now you may be thinking 'Thats great. He has his own freedom.'

I don't even have to tell you that the two boys and instantly fell in love. From the moment Virgil saw thw beautiful Amber eyes that belonged to the Prince, he already decided to swear an oath to himself to always protect this boy. Even if it costed his life...

For three years the boys kept their relationship a secret. Soon enough it was nearing Roman's 18th birthday. And also the day of his coronation.

This day was the day Roman knew he was going to regret. After being announced the king of Etherice, he is going to have to marry a princess of another kingdom. But, when he assigned as King, Roman decided to change his kingdom for the greater good. But at what cost?

Two days until Roman's coronation

Roman and Virgil laid beside each other in the Prince's sleeping quarters. Both were enjoying the presence of the other. The village boy nuzzling his face into his lover's neck sighed.

"Virgil, my love, how is it you always keep a calm composer in the most anxious of times?" Roman asked. The village boy just simply smiled. "My dearest Roman, I may look calm but really I'm scared. I'm frightened of what your subjects would think about you after you tell everyone avout your little 'change' you want to bring to Etherice. I already see what they think of my parents. It just.. Frightens me to think what people might do to you if they don't want this change to the kingdom.  Then there's the coronation.."

Virgil quickly paused to see Roman's head hanging low.  Long before then, even Roman also knew that The throne has always been the most common thing to attract assassins. But still, when the boys were fifteen Virgil made his promise known to Roman that if anything should happen, Virgil would be the one taking the arrow instead of Roman.

The boy took the prince's face between his hands and kissed him deeply. He wanted Roman to know his worries, but he also wanted him to know that he loved him. There was no extent, just love. When the kiss ended Virgil continued his statement.

"As frightened as I may be, I know that you are here with me right now. And I Love you." Virgil didn't even blink as he looked Roman in the eye and told him this. He still hadn't taken his hand away from Roman's face as he began to pull him in for another kiss.

The day of Prince Roman's coranation finally arrived.  It didn't take long until. Everyone was seated and Roman was about to walk to his father and receive his crown and anoitment with the sacrad chrism.

"I don't think that I can do this!" Roman was pacing nervously across the room before the ceremony. "Princey, calm down. The Ceremony will only be thirty minutes. Then your mother will give his speech. Then everything will be fine. I'll be right there in the first row with Papa and Father." Roman cracked a smile and kissed the boy's hand. "It'll be nice to see some friendly faces in the crowd."

Virgil's dads were still the marriest couple in all of Etherice. Logan, Virgil's Father, was the supplier of their family. He worked in the mines and occasionally took time off just for his family and loves Patton, Virgil's Papa, with all his heart. And of course not, two men could not have a child it is physically impossible.  Well, Patton married Logan about two years after Virgil was born. His mother had left them taking all their money and food. She couldn't couldn't handle the hardships that come with being a mother and a wife. And she took the wrong path with her life.

"Calm down, Virge. He'll be fine." Patton told him as they were sitting down. His parents were the only people who knew about Roman and himself. It wasn't long into the ceremony that Virgil could feel something off. He looked around the great room and up to the windows. Nothing could be seen...

"And so his vows have been presented to the court of the people. Now, please, all rise for your new ruler King Roman. " the priest announced. Then he saw it. A glint in the priest's robes.

Before the man could strike Virgil was already out of his seat... but was still too late.

Soo uh hi? Maybe I should do a part two? I might just leave it heere.
