You told me you would never let me fall,
and I believed you.
Until I hit the ground.
You told me you would be my anchor,
and I trusted you.
Now I'm lost at sea.
You told me you would never let me go,
And I held the rope tight.
But one day I reached the end and you weren't there.
You told me you would always love me,
And I loved you back.
Where did our love go?
You told me
You would never say goodbye,
And I thought you were right.
Yet here we are.
