Masked Feelings Aren't Fun

I don't think many people realize

The absolute pain and suffering others go through

When they are not paying attention.

People don't understand,

That even the richest people

Can have the same problems as someone completely different.

Nobody really understands the full impact

Of spoken and unspoken words.

Faces are masked with false happiness

And dying hope is no longer visible, only felt.

Minds are occupied with thoughts,

Trying desperately to force out the negative things

That lurk in the back of the mind.

Feelings are masked and buried

In hopes no one else will see

Or that they will go away eventually

But they never really do.

Hey guys! So I know that I'm a little late with this, yesterday was a day of shock, mourning, and disbelief. But today, I decided that we should in fact celebrate the life of the recently passed Robin Williams. I know that there have been rumors that he commit suicide, but they have not yet been confirmed. Nonetheless, this poem is dedicated to the amazing Robin Williams and his friends and family. It's to display that suicide or not, lots of people have it hard, even when they seem happy and full of life. This is my tribute to not only him, but others who go through hard times as well. Thank you Robin Williams, for the great laughs and joy you have brought to our world; we know now that Heaven will have just as many laughs from you as we've had. Rest in peace.
