"What you mean I can't bail her out?", I ask the clerk with an attitude. I've been sitting in this damn police station all morning only to get to the desk and hear this shit.

"That's what I just said", he responds smartly.

"And why the fuck not?"

"Because she's being held on murder charges", he says in a Duh tone. Tierra wipes her eyes and I sigh. The only reason she got out is because the witness said she wasn't there. Either was Aniya so I don't know where all of this is coming from. I step away from the desk and see my Aunt walking into the station with a mug on her face.

"Auntie!", I call out too her. She looks over and smiles when she sees me. I give her a hug and motion for Tierra to follow behind me.

She sees Tierra and her smile drops. "Jordan I am not about to cover for one of your girlfriends today. What happened to the last one?"

"This is about the same girl Auntie. This is just her best friend. Tierra, my aunt Marsha. Can I please just talk with you?", I ask her. She tells me to follow behind her and we do. When we get into her office she sits down and tells me I got ten minutes to explain. "Auntie they got Aniya on murder charges for Braelynn. But she didn't do it because she was home with me"

"So where does she come in at?", she asks pointing at Tierra.

"The girl pointed us both out at school. But later on said she didn't see me at all", Tierra explains.

Aunt Marsha nods and reapplies her lipstick. "I'm sorry but this is out of my hands". I give her a confused look and she holds her hands up in surrender. "Yeah I might be a Lieutenant but I'm not assigned to the case Jordan. I can't help you with this one, I'm sorry"

"Well can I at least see her?", I plead. "I need to talk to her". Aunt Marsha gives me ten minutes with Aniya and I thank her. I sit in the visiting room alone until I hear the buzzer go off indicating that she's coming out. When I see her she runs over to me and I pull her into a hug. Her face is puffy and red, she leans into my chest and cries.

"Jordan I didn't do anything", she says above a whisper. I kiss her forehead and sit us both down.

"I know baby, I'm gonna try my hardest to get you out of this", I assure her. "Somebody behind all of this"

"Where is Tierra?", she asks looking around.

"I told her to stay in the hallway. I don't know which one of Brae's friends blamed this on you. But she said she seen you and I know it's a lie",

"Jordan I just wanna go home. Do you know all my college funds and scholarships is on the line?", she asks crying. "For some shit I didn't even do"

"Baby-"

"Then they talking about some video that they have with Brae framing you", she says. "And you didn't even tell me!"

"Aniya that's because I just found out about the shit yesterday", I explain. "That why I called you. I'm sorry for not telling you everything"
