(Connor's POV)
I wake up in a car moving down the highway. It's a bright, sunny day and the sky was clear.
"Wake up, sleepy head." a voice said from the front seat. A woman and a man were sitting in the front, while I sat in the back seat next to a girl wearing headphones playing on her phone.
"Where am I?" I ask.
"Connor, wake up." the woman kept saying as I fall back asleep. I wake back up in another car, only it's a dark day and I'm sitting next to this girl with short, black hair and glasses, holding a cloth over an open wound on my leg. I move back, in shock and terror.
"Calm down. You got third degree burns on your arm." Hunter said from the driver seat.
"What the hell happened?" I ask. "Where's Chris?". Hunter sighed in distress.
(24 hours earlier. Chris's POV)
We walked down a hallway that seemed to go on forever. As far as I knew it was just me, Devon, and a guard. As we were walking down the hall, I heard an explosion that was close by.
"The fuck was that?" the guard asks. then BAM. Shot right in the head. It was Hunter. He rushes up and knocked the other one out.
"Where's Connor?" he asks as he un-cuffs me and Devon. "Let's go."
(Hunter's POV)
We rushed down the hallway to find Connor laying on the floor, burned and bleeding.
"Connor!" I yelled and rushed for him. I shot as many as I could before I ran out of ammo. I grabbed Connor and hid behind cover. The guy with the RPG was about to blow us up, but Chris shot him. He was dual wielding two micro-SMGs and shooting anything that moved.
"Get them out of here!" he yelled.
"I'm not leaving you!" I yelled.
"Just go! Tell him what happened to me. I've lived through hell long enough. Now go!" tears filled my eyes and went down my face. I grabbed Connor and ran out of the building. Me and Devon got into a car, and drove away. A few minutes later, the building exploded, killing everything in and around it.
(Present. Connor's POV)
"Damn. He gave his life, for us?" I ask.
"Yeah. I guess he wasn't the annoying little shit we thought he was." Hunter says. I smile but can't hold back the tears from falling down my face. I look out the window to see the most horrible site ever: an entire horde of zombies.
