Chapter 8: Made For Eachother

Cherry just watched Ciel writing things down in a notebook. She left him to concentrate on his work, while she gazed out of the window at the garden. The flowers were all in bloom, swaying in the breeze. Petals slowly floated in the sky, filling the sky with vibrant colours. The sun was shining down on the entire mansion, brightening the entire property. Cherry let her mind wonder off, she couldn't see why Ciel would want to help her.

Suddenly she felt a hand on her shoulder and snapped her head back around.

"Are you alright Cherry?" Said Ciel as a look of concern covered his face, while he gazed into Cherry's eyes.

"Yes I'm fine... sorry I guess my mind was just wondering" Replied Cherry as she gave Ciel a cute closed eye smile.

"Like the Young Master then?" Said A voice from the other side of the desk.

Both of them turned around to look at the person standing there. It was Sebastian with a tray of tea and sweet treats. He placed the tray down on the desk and looked over towards Ciel and Cherry. It was silent, no one Said anything. Sebastian took a bow then left the study.

Ciel poured two cups of Earl Grey tea and handed one to Cherry. Gently Cherry grabbed the cup and took a slight sip of the tea.

"Ciel may I get to know you better?" Said Cherry as she looked at Ciel who was taking a sip of his tea.

"Of course you can" Replied Ciel as he placed the cup on a saucer and looked over towards Cherry.

"So how come you are not engaged to anyone? I thought you had someone... yet you are helping me" Said Cherry trying not to cry at the thought of him having someone else.

"Oh Cherry" Replied Ciel as he gently placed a hand in the side of her face.

"She left me for someone better" Continued Ciel as he looked Cherry dead in the eye, trying to read what she was thinking.

Cherry gasped and put both her hands over her mouth.

"Ciel... I... I'm so... sorry" Stuttered Cherry as she placed a hand on top of his, feeling awful for asking about it.

"Its fine Cherry, she's happy and I'm happy for her" Replied Ciel as he gently rubbed Cherry's hand comforting her.

"You are such a gentleman Ciel" Said Cherry as she gave Ciel a lovely smile, with sparkly eyes.

Ciel blushed slightly and gazed into Cherry's eyes.

"So how come you don't have anyone in your life Cherry" Replied Ciel as he looked at Cherry, worried she'd say she had someone in her life.

"I find it hard to trust people Ciel" Said Cherry as she looked down towards the ground, her face covered with anxiety.

"Why is that?" Replied Ciel as he gently placed a hand under her chin and tilted her head back up to look at him.

"Its just something that happened a long time ago... I do not wanna talk about it" Said Cherry in a hasty tone, trying to hide her past from Ciel.

"I understand" Replied Ciel as he held Cherry's hands and gazed into her bright green eyes.

"Thank you" Said Cherry as she jumped off the seat and hugged Ciel.

Ciel was a bit shocked to begin with but then hugged her in return. After a couple of moments they pulled out of the hug and Cherry glanced down at Ciel's notebooks.

"What work are you doing Ciel?" Said Cherry as she stood beside him and placed her hands on the desk.

"Just some items for my factory, and finishing off a report for The Queen" Replied Ciel as he glanced back down at the notebooks.
