After a few hours Madam Red and Grell left the mansion. Ciel and Cherry went back into Ciel's study and carried on working. Cherry helped Ciel with his work wherever he needed it. While Ciel was writing in his work notebook, Cherry was reading the case notebook. She became fascinated with all the different crimes he had solved and was still trying to solve.

"Say Ciel... why have you put me as the only different girl from the last case you just solved?" Said Cherry as she glanced over towards Ciel, curious as to why he would write something like that.

"Out of the documents I was given... you were the only one without a last name... and I want to help you find out who you really are" Replied Ciel as he turned to look at Cherry, gently grabbing her hand and gazing into her eyes.

"You... you want to... help me?" Stuttered Cherry as a few tears started to form in her eyes, and she placed a hand over her mouth.

Ciel nodded as he stood up and hugged Cherry. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly.

"Thank you" Cried Cherry into Ciel's shoulder and hugged him tigher, never wanting to let go of him.

"It is alright Cherry" Replied Ciel as he placed a hand in the back of her hand and softly pressed her head against his body.

Suddenly there was a knock at the study door.

"Master the evening meal is almost ready" Said Sebastian as he opened the door slightly and stuck his head in the study door.

"Alright we are now coming" Replied Ciel, just as Sebastian closed the study door and walked towards the dining room.

Ciel pulled Cherry away and wiped away the tears running down her face. Gently Ciel held Cherry's hand and guided her to the dining room. The meal was eaten in silence, Ciel kept glancing at Cherry, and Cherry kept glancing at Ciel. Once the meal was finished Ciel went back to his study, while Cherry went back to her bedroom.

Cherry opened her bedroom door and softly closed it behind her. She sat down at her dresser and undone her hair. Suddenly there was a bolt of lightning outside of the window. Cherry gasped, looked out the window then slowly stood up. Cautionly she walked towards the window and looked out of it. It was pitch black outside, the rain tapping against the window like music. Suddenly there was another bolt of lightning that lit up the sky. Slowly Cherry glanced down to the side to the window near the front door. Suddenly she saw a man standing there with glasses and a wide devilish smile plastered across his. Cherry screamed and tried to back away. She tripped over and fell onto the ground.

Suddenly her bedroom door flew open and Ciel burst into the room. He looked at the ground and saw Cherry sprawled over the floor, heavy breathing and tears falling down her face. Ciel quickly knelt down and helped Cherry up so she was sitting on the floor.

"Cherry what happened?" Said Ciel in a calm and gently tone as he pulled Cherry closer to him and hugged her.

"I... I just... looked out the... window and... and saw someone... standing... on the front... front steps" Stuttered Cherry as she wrapped her arms around Ciel and cried on his shoulder.

"Shh... Shh... Shh... it is okay Cherry" Replied Ciel as he ran a hand up and down Cherry's back trying to comfort her.

"Please... would you stay with me until I fall asleep?" Pleaded Cherry as she pulled away from Ciel's shoulder and wiped her tears away.

"Of course" Replied Ciel as he stood up and held a hand out towards Cherry to help her stand up.

Softly Cherry grabbed Ciel's hand and he helped her stand up. Ciel went and sat down on the arm chair next to Cherry's bed on the opposite side to her dresser. Cherry walked over to the wardrobe and started to take her dress off. Ciel slightly blushed as he caught her in her underwear. She hung the dress in the wardrobe and grabbed a silk nightgown Sebastian had bought. Cherry turned around so her back was facing Ciel and she undone her corset. She then slipped the nightgown on then turned around to face Ciel.
