A/N: WARNING FOR MENTIONS OF EMOTIONAL ABUSE AND SELF HARM

This was hard to write but I felt it fit the fic. I know some of you don't like fuckboi Camila and Lauren is pining waay to hard. But patience is all I ask.

----

"She's gonna kill us all." Dinah groaned.

They'd been panicking for a day now. Camila still hadn't turned up to yell at them. But it was Sunday, her day off. She probably didn't want to ruin her day off with a screaming match.

"Why would she kill you?" Lauren asked. "She only knows it was me with the plan."

"Actually..." Normani began, swallowing roughly and seriously regretting some of her life choices at this moment. Especially when Dinah looked at her like that; like she knew exactly what she was about to say.

"Tell me you didn't." Dinah said quietly. Normani winced and hung her head in reply. "Fuck sake Mani. Why couldn't you just let it play out?" Dinah snapped.

"Look she'd already figured it out." Ally defended Normani instantly and Dinah folded her arms with a scowl.

"Speak shortstack."

"When I went to see her the other morning she was furious. I think she'd figured out the plan the night before. She was pissed at Lauren mostly." Ally explained.

"I just accidentally told her it was your idea." Normani mumbled. Dinah sighed and clenched her fists.

"What exactly did she say?" Dinah said slowly.

"Something about manipulating her feelings? That you of all people should've shut it down? I don't really remember." Ally said with a small apologetic shrug. Dinah sat down heavily and put her head in her hands.

"I should've realised." She muttered. "Hayley why don't you go home. It's clear Mila isn't appearing today." Dinah said with a sad smile. Hayley nodded and waved goodbye before she left the apartment.

"Dinah? What's wrong?" Lauren asked as Dinah shook her head. Dinah sighed and moved her hands to her lap, still not looking up.

"Camila has a logical reason for being a player. It's like a coping mechanism for her." Dinah began, the other three taking a seat at Dinah's blank tone. "She... got her heart broken three years ago. Well, it was more than that. The girl was... vicious. I know she never physically hurt Camila but, well, she didn't leave Camila in a good place." Dinah said slowly.

"Her name was Chloe. She was absolutely perfect and Camila fell in love with her. Completely and utterly head over heels. I only met Camila a year into their relationship and it seemed fine. Good even. Then about six months after meeting me it seemed to shift."

The room was silent as they listened to Dinah speak, her voice breaking every so often.

"Camila couldn't see it happening, or she didn't want to, I don't know but Chloe changed. Became more controlling of Camila. Mila didn't know what was right and what was wrong. She just kind of existed with Chloe. Her entire existence became revolved around Chloe and what she wanted. There wasn't a cool and confident girl in there anymore, just a prisoner."

Dinah blinked a few times, looking up at the three girls listening raptly and sighed brokenly.

"Then it became Chloe with complete control. Camila didn't feel unless it was related to Chloe. It broke me to see her like that. So I talked to her about it. Camila was adamant that Chloe loved her and she loved her." Dinah sniffed and bit her lip before continuing.

"Took Camila almost two years to come back to me. That's how badly Chloe had her under her thumb. To talk to me about it. She'd... found a different outlet in those last few months and she had a revelation one night. She came to find me that night, lied on my sofa, staring up at the ceiling with blank eyes and nothing to say. Until she told me everything."
