In your darkness
You left me
Enveloping me
In the cloak of debris
For a fight I couldn't bear
Your heart
Has left me torn
To a burden I'm tired;
Much too tired to bear
If only the world
Had allowed us our time
But our wings are broken
Beyond healing
The damage is done
No longer can we soar
