Chapter 6

(alexis's pov)

I woke up the next morning with a text from jc.

JC: hey do you wanna hang out with the guys and I today?

I could go if my dad wasn't home. I tip-toed down the hallway to the guest room. it had a perfect view of the driveway. both of my parents were gone. i was free for the the day.

I headed downstairs and saw a note on the fridge from my mom.

hi alexis, I have to work today and I took Sarah with me. if you wanna go anywhere just text me. be safe and have fun! love you

I grabbed a granola bar and pulled out my phone. I first texted jc.

TO JC: yea! sounds great. see you in 20?

He texted back almost immediately.

JC: ok can't wait:)

Then I texted my mom. she was ok with it so I finished my breakfast and I headed upstairs to get ready.

My hair is naturally straight so I just kept it like that. I put on some eyeliner and mascara and went to get dressed. I put on a blue muscle tee with black shorts. I grabbed my black toms and my Penney board and rode over to Jc's.

Even though we lived next door to each other there was like a kinda big distance from our houses. as I rode I thought about how nice and chill my mom was. Like if I asked my dad to go over to Jc's he would never say yes. I love my dad so much but when it comes to boys he is just so overprotective. IM 18 FOR GODS SAKE!

I rang the doorbell to jc's house I heard distant footsteps get closer. a shirtless jc opened the door.

"hey babe," he said hugging me. damn that boy was fit. "hey," I say. he pulls me inside and we walk to the kitchen. Connor, ricky, and kian were all sitting there. "guys this is alexis,

my girlfriend," he says proudly. aww he was so cute. "hi." I say shyly waving. "You guys should get to know her while I go and get dressed," he says walking upstairs. "alexis come sit!" ricky says tapping the seat next to him. I sit. "so tell us about yourself alexis," Connor says. "well first of all you can call me Lexi, I think alexis is too formal," I say laughing," but other than that I'm not all that interesting. I'm really lazy." I say. I hate telling people about myself. "do you do any sports?" Connor asks. "well actually I'm a gymnast," I say. "can you do a flip?," kian asks. "yes, kian, I can." I say back laughing. just then jc comes downstairs. "so what do you guys wanna do?" he asks. "well maybe Lexi can show us around LA?" ricky asks. "yea, that's fine. I've lived here my whole life so I know a good bit." I say smiling.

we decided to skate board around. we eventually got to this fro-yo place. "hey guys this place is pretty good, we can go-" "YES LETS GO PLEASE YESS GUYS!!" Kian yells. I guess he really likes fro-yo. "alright let's go," we all say laughing. we walk in and get our yogurt and we sit down. "so, jc how do you already have a girlfriend- we moved here like a week ago," ricky asks. "well she came up to us the first day we moved and I instantly liked her a lot," jc says. "he's pretty special!" I say giggling.

we finish our yogurt and left. we ride a little bit more and we get to the mall. Connor, ricky, and kian all go to pac sun and leave just jc and I.

"hey I wanna show you something," I say grabbing his hand and running out of the mall. we rode our skateboards across the mall parking lot and we go to these woods by the mall. we leave our skateboards by a

tree and we run to the dead middle of the woods. there was a small pond that was surrounded by rocks. "this is my favorite place ever," I say panting," I always come here to think and get my mind off things." "its really pretty," jc says. "I haven't told anyone about this so you should feel pretty special." I tell him. "thanks babe," he says.

we head out of the woods and rode back to the mall. we found the other guys at the food court.

"hey guys!" I say waving. "hey lovebirds," Connor says. "soo what do you guys wanna do now?" jc asks. "let's go home," Connor whines.

we ride back home. once we got to their house, Connor had to go somewhere for YouTube and Kian fell asleep. jc and I went to his room. we sat in his giant bean bag and he showed me some of his favorite music. we were laughing and talking and I think he got caught up in the moment because out of the blue he kissed me. this was our second kiss but it was amazing. it was so passionate. we moved at the same rhythm and neither of us wanted to pull away. one thing led to another and it turned out to a makeout session. just then jc grabbed the hem of my shirt. then I realized we had gone too far. I quickly pulled away.

"jc we can't do this not right now," I say. "alright babe. its ok," he says putting his hands up in defeat. immediately after that jcs phone rang. he picked it up and put it on speaker.

"hello?"

"hello is this Justin Castillo?"

"yes?"

"this is officer jones, your friend Connor franta was in a car crash and is now in surgery at sunset hospital."

"o-ok I'll be there"

and the phone goes silent.
