Cedric,

Please stay safe. I don't know what I would do without you. Living on my own is hard enough... but actually living without you in my life, it would kill me.

I think Jasper and Buttercup have realized that you won't be home for a while. Jasper stopped pawing the pillow and now comforts me when I'm lonely in bed, or when I cry. We all miss you more than anything in the world.

Our neighbors, Detlan and his wife, Anna, have come over to check on me and keep me company. They have darling children. Bec is their oldest, she's six. Hamlet is a month old. Bec really likes Jasper and Buttercup and they really like her. I have gone out to lunch with them twice. I think you'd really like them.

On a more important note, I have news. Last week, I missed my period, so I took a pregnancy test. You're going to be a father. I'm a little over a month along and I have a sonogram appointment September 19th. I'll keep you updated and send you copies of the sonogram photos when I receive them. Anna already has me taking prenatal vitamins and is giving me so much parenting advice. My brain might honestly explode from it all, but I'd never tell her that. She's been more than amazing.

I love you more than anything imaginable, Cedric. I hope this news makes you as happy as it has made me.

With love,

Alessandra
