I wake up to Cora staring at me. I get startled and fall off the couch.

I say " What the hell? How did you get here?"

She says " I tracked you down. Now, come on. Your boyfriend is worried sick about you."

She holds out her hand to help me up. I stare at her like she's crazy.

She says " Dont worry he's not home. He left last night. Dont worry."

I sigh and grab her hand. She pulls me up to my feet and looks me straight in the eyes.

she says " you scared the hell out of me Jenna"

Me and Cora are at her house getting ready, while Isaac is helping Peter get ready at Derek's house.

I say "I don't want to go all crazy, gotta save that for prom. Just enough to look good."

She nods and starts he magic. She curls my hair and pins my bangs back with a black clip, then she add very little make-up. She runs in her room and grabs my glasses.

I say "I don't need these anymore, There old."

She says "I know, but if your eyes change they help."

I look at her for a moment and nod. She puts them on and smiles.

She says "now dress and shoes."

I walk over to the bathroom and change into the dress making sure I don't mess anything up.

I slid my shoes on and look in her full body mirror. I smile and nod to myself. Honestly right now I'm the happiest girl ever. My adoptive father never took me to dances, ever. This is new, and I'm happy about it. My phone starts ringing.

L- Lydia J- Jenna

J- Hey! What's up?

L- Nothing much, on my way to Peters.

J- Why?

L- I was gonna see if he would take me to the dance. I don't have a dad so.

J- Oh. Um, Lydia, I'm sorry. I never told you, but Peter is my father. Try Derek? Maybe, I just really wanna go and I never had a dad.  I'm so sorry.

L- Oh, its okay.

J- thanks for understanding.

L- No problem. That's what friends do. I'll ask Derek.

J- Okay, I gotta go.

L- okay! bye!

J- bye

I hang up and walk out for Cora to see. She nods and smiles like crazy. I smile and grab my phone.

I say "Well, shall we get going then?"

She says "Yeah! Let's go!"

We walk to her car and get in. Its silence until she speaks up.

she says "So, I left for a while. I found something."

I say "What was it?"

She says "Vampires, and Hybrids, and witches. Then there's the originals."

I say "So there's a lot more than just what we have here?"

she says "Yeah, and I have a thing with one of them."

I say "Spill it."

She says "Well, his name is Tyler Lockwood. He's a hybrid."

I say "What's a hybrid?"

She says "Well, its a werewolf and vampire mix. If a werewolf bites a vampire it kills it. If a vampire bites a werewolf it kills it, unless you have the right blood to change it. Then if one does bite one another then you need the originals blood. It heals it."

I look her in the eyes and there not the same. There not her. She puts the car in park and I climb out as fast as I can. She kinda scares me. Isaac meets me half way to the house and pulls me in to a kiss. Sparks go through my body and he pulls back.

He says "You had me worried about you baby."

I say "I'm sorry Isaac. Derek he wanted me to fight him for a spot in the house. I'm sorry."

he pulls me into another kiss and smiles.

He says "Be careful out there. Your all I have left."

I say "I know, I will. I love you Isaac."

He says "I love you to Jenna."

He walks me to the door and there stands Peter in a tux.

I say "You did good. Looks very nice."

He says "Why thank you, me and your boyfriend tried very hard."

I say "Well, shall we go?"
