A/N: Alright so this is going to be a little angsty and sad, and nit has to do with a drunk George after the war, so if this bothers you and you don't want to read this one then don't. At the end it will be more light hearted. Soo here we go.
Drunk and in Pain {George Weasley}
Pain and grief were the only things George Weasley had been feeling for almost a month now. His brother was gone, dead, killed in the Great Battle that was supposed to help wizard kind. Instead, to George and many other people, it had caused only pain. Pain that George didn't want to feel, pain that George only wanted to go away. When it first settled in that Fred was actually gone, all he did was sit around in his room and mope, and nobody was going to stop him. After all he did lose his twin brother.
After a two weeks however people began checking on George, trying to make sure that he was okay, to show that they cared. He finally got up, but he didn't exactly start running the joke shop. He started going to bars and getting extremely drunk, he wanted the pain to go away so he drank and forgot. But in the mornings, when he'd wake up at the flat not even knowing how he got there, George would remember everything, and became a zombie. This went on for a another two weeks, and the only person that knew of everything that went on was Ginny Weasley. His little sister.
Ginny worked at The Three Broomsticks, where her brother came, very often. Ginny was angry, sad, and frustrated with her brother all at once. She was angry with him because he was practically throwing his life away and he was stuck in one place. She was sad because he was her brother and not seeing a smiling George set her on edge, until recently she had never seen George frown. She was frustrated because every time she tried to reach out to him, he pushed her away. Claiming that he was fine on his own. So she decided to get another person to help her because clearly she wasn't getting through to him. So she went to Lee Jordan.
Lee tried to get through to George, but it didn't work at all. He went to George's house to try and comfort him. All he did was find a Drunk George who wanted nothing to do with any body. Lee used soft words trying to get his friend to calm down but George wasn't going to have it. He yelled and yelled at Lee, yelled at Lee about things that wasn't even about Lee himself. Instead it was ranting about how if the dark lord had never been born then his brother wouldn't be dead. Every day for those two weeks Lee went over to his friends house to try and help, but he had applied for an editing job in America and had to leave in two days.
Poor Ginny felt useless. Finally she came to a decision that somebody who didn't know George as well as everybody else could help him. So she went to her friend Jayne Anderson, a Slitherin that had been in Fred and George's year for help. She figured if anybody could get to him it was the pretty blonde.
"Thanks for meeting up with me on quick notice Jay." Ginny said as Jayne came into the pub.
"Hey, it's no problem. In your letter you sounded urgent, the Flower shop is closed on Tuesday's So I have no work right now."
Ginny laughed, "Wow, work is always first isn't it."
"Well duh, making bouquets are my life. Any way, what did you need Ginny?"
Ginny's face fell. "It's George," She watched as Jay tensed, "He keeps getting wasted night after night thinking it will stop the pain but it isn't doing him any good and you know that. I...I need you to talk some sense into him Jayne."
"Why me? He barely even knows me, I doubt he'd even listen to me."
"That's why I need you to do it. I tried, Lee tried. I couldn't tell my siblings or my parents what he does here, it would break their hearts. I feel like he'd listen to you because you felt the same way when you had lost your sister."
