Chapter Four
"So where are we going?" Era asked "You'll see" he said. She watched the scenery change as they got further and further away from the city. For nearly thirty minutes she sat there, wondering where they were going. She loved Cursive, but she was getting bored. "Do you have any Modest Mouse or Ugly Casanova?" she asked. He nodded, and popped in The Moon And Antarctica. She sat listening and watching him as he drove, never once taking his eyes from the road. "God he's hot." she thought. She quickly became disgusted with herself and attempted to think of something, anything else. Finally, he stopped at an open field, filled with a myriad of tiny, colorful flowers. The grass was green, the sky blue, and the few trees forest green. She looked at him and smiled. He came over grabbed her delicate long hand, and practically dragged her to a large redwood tree. She gasped at the beauty of her surroundings. The flowers were tiny, delicate and looked almost as if someone had painted them pastel colors. The sun shone through trees. He came over and pulled her into a hug. She looked up into his stunning blue eyes as he watched her. He whispered gently into her ear "Sorry." She stood puzzled as he smiled a devilish smile and closed his eyes, focused and reopened them.
"FRICK..!" she screamed internally. She was so stupid. He froze time. She was stupid enough to trust him. "You stupid little girl." he said as a devilish smile spread across his face. He pulled up a wickedly sharp dagger and swished it around as he walked menacingly around. "Your so insolent." He hissed into her ear. She wanted to slap him. Despite herself, she began to breath deeply, trying to calm herself down. "Not this again" she thought. She remembered last time and how she became immune after she activated her slip-power. He activated his slip-power by closing his eyes and doing something. She felt her eyes close. She began to think of water, flowing water, and power, pulsing through her immobile veins. She felt adrenaline pulsing through her tense body. She began to tingle, and felt a euphoric feeling ease her terse muscles. She began to gain control of herself, while the rest of the world remained in a paused limbo. Orion watched her as she slowly regained herself. She was a quick learner. She stood there for a moment trying to comprehend what just happened. She had controlled her power. But before she could celebrate her feat, Orion was running towards her at a no human could naturally achieve. His eyes were closed and when he opened them he was running at normal speed. She quickly put the pieces together. He was fast-forwarding his movements. He was standing there, his hand coming closer to her stomach. She watched in acute horror as she blade appeared to go through her tummy. But it didn't stop at the blade. Half of his bare arm went into her tummy. She looked down and gasped. His arm was surrounded by undulating water. She had somehow turned the area around where he attempted to stab her into liquid. He quickly pulled his arm out. "Smart move. You're a fast learner. To bad you haven't learned enough yet." He went to stab her again, but she dodged. He kept attempting to stab her, each time moving more and more behind her. She dodged each time. She reached to her side searching for Madame Coup De Piognard. "Shit!" she yelled realizing she had stupidly left her pocket knife at home. "Missing your little baby knife? Aww...To bad for you little girl." he seethed. And right after that statement, she felt him grab her left shoulder and put it in between his inner elbow. Then the knife was at her bare neck. "A metal Goth choker would be nice about now..." She muttered under her breath. She felt the sharp blade lightly caress her skin. She was scared. This boy, was either bi-polar or physcotic, and she wanted to get away from him. She felt panic coursing through her body. Orion watched her dissolve in his arms and felt a pool of water at his feet. The water rolled away, and out of this body of water came Eradanus. He dropped his knife and his jaw. her dark hair had fallen out of its ponytail, her shirt was ripped and she had dirt all over her jeans. She was dirty, and her eyes looked fierce. His heart began to race. She looked like some crazed, sexy war goddess. she stared at him with cold eyes. He bowed to her and said. "I can explain. Just hear me out." He whispered. "I have nothing better to do. I should kill you, but i actually have a heart, unlike you." she said coldly. "You need to be trained. And i needed to evaluate your strengths, powers, and weaknesses. So i pretended to attack you." Orion explained. But he couldn't look her in the eyes. "And what if you actually stabbed me?" Eradanus said, her voice emotionless. "The dagger is half dimensional. It can't hurt us." He replied. Then he took the dagger and shoved it through his stomach. Nothing. "I wouldn't kill you. I like you. That means ill kill you last, not first. You're cool." Orion said as he attempted to joke. She looked at him and sighed. "Well, I guess if it in the name of my training, I'll deal with it." She came over and kicked him in the balls. "DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN! NOT EVEN FOR TRAINING!" She screamed at the top of her lungs.
