Jacks pov:
I walk up to y/n and y/Bff's apartment to see y/n. today is one year with her. I couldn't be happier.
"Hey ah is y/n in her room?"
"Oh no she's at work, but she told me to have you call her"
"Oh what?? is she gonna cancel on me again? How could she do this doesn't she know it's our anniversary"
"Okay Jack here's my knowledge on the subject: Call y/n"
I grab my phone out of my phone and call her office
"Hello?"
"hey Honey"
"oh hi"
"What's going on?"
"oh there was a disaster in shipping and i've got to get this order in. Jack it looks like i'm gonna be here all night"
"Well should i come up there?"
"no no honey please.I just have so much to deal with"
I decided to pack a picnic and go surprise her at work.
i pack her favorite sides and sandwich and her favorite drink.
"Hi!" i say, walking into her office
"Oh my god Jack what are you doing here?"
"Well you couldn't go out so i brought the picnic to you"
"Jack, honey that's very nice but i got a crisis"
"yeah well i brought couscous!" i say
"Honey, Honey i know it's our anniversary but i told you on the phone i didn't have time to stop"
"It's like i'm not even here i'm invisible" i say, putting pepper on the couscous.
"Let's see what i got here.045 is not the number for this store.045 is the store in Indianapolis"
"Pepper?"
"None for me." she says angerly.
"Okay sorry. Jeez" i say, putting the pepper down
"Anyways as i was saying the store number is wrong"
when she says that, the coffee scented candle i lit catches a paper on fire
"Oh my god Jack. I'm going to have to call you back i'm sorry"
"I'm sorry but hey someone's off the phone, how about a beer to start you off?" I say
"Jack you aren't listening to me! i don't have time to stop!"
"come on you don't have 10 minutes?"
"No i don't have 10 minutes Jack!"
"I haven't seen you all week."
"I cannot do this right now. get out."
"yeah but wait.."
"Goodbye!"
Your Pov:
I walk into my apartment to see Jack.
"Hey" he says gloomy
"Hi. about what happened earlier.."
"No. hey. well i completely understand you were stressed."
i slam my bag and phone on the table.
"I was gonna give you the chance to apologize to me"
"For what? you throwing me out of your office?"
"You had NO RIGHT to come down to my office today"
"Well excuse me for trying to be with my girlfriend on our anniversary! what a bad boyfriend i am!"
"But i told you i didn't have the time"
"You never have time anymore! I don't even have a girlfriend anymore"
"Wh-Jack what do you want from me? Do you want me to quit my job so you can feel like you have a girlfriend again?"
"No but you need to understand it's just a job!"
"Just a job? Says the guy who spends 3+ hours editing your stupid videos"

"Do you know this is the first time i'm doing something i actually love? This is the first time in my life i'm doing something i'm good at. I mean if you don't get that.."
"No, i get that. I get that big time. and i'm happy for you! but i'm tired of having a relationship with your answering machine! i don't know what to do anymore"

"Is this about Hunter?"
Hunter was a guy i used to work with. Jack was always jealous.
