Summer’s POV:

It had been an hour since I dropped Drake off, so I decided to meet Drew and Lauren.

“Lauren I don’t even know why you’re calling me.”

I hop out of the car with my bag and start towards the entrance of Starbucks.

“Well, I am in here all alone and I feel like a loser.”

“Lauren, you are a loser. Can’t you handle being alone for five minutes, I mean,  you said Drew was just going to the bathroom.”

I walk inside and see her so I hung up. God, she can’t be alone for more than five seconds.

“YAY! You’re here. Finally, I don’t look like a major loser.”

She hands me a coffee and I instantly know what she got me. Caramel Latte. Like a Christmas stuffed in a coffee cup.

“Lauren, you are over exaggerating.”

I see Drew walk over to us, “Is she complaining on how I left her?” I nod in response.

“Sometimes I wander what you’d do without me.” He kisses her on the cheek and she flashes him a smile.

“The world wouldn’t shine, babe.” They kiss again and it seems like they forgot I was even here.

“Ew, okay I get it sun won’t shine without each other. Now stop shoving your tongues down each other’s throats, my eyes are hurting.”

They stop and Drew seems to laugh, “What? You jealous?”

“Nope not even a bit.” I take a sip of my coffee and start to scroll through my phone. “Don’t you have college to attend?”

“Nope,” he slings his hand over Lauren’s shoulder, “No classes today.”

“Oh. What are you up to today then?” Lauren takes his hand and kisses it. All of a sudden his attention was focused on her. This is what I wanted. The way he looks at her, like there isn’t anyone else in the room.

Even though Drew was built like a body builder, he was gentle and attentive with Lauren. They’ve always made me jealous of what they had, but all I could do is be happy for them.

A long time ago I wanted this with someone else. But I don’t know anymore. Daniel was just a cover up for someone else…maybe that’s why I never cried about him.

My phone starts to ring and it startles the happy couple out of their little world.

“Hello?” I answer.

“Are we still meeting at Starbucks?” Bella asks.

I look at Lauren who gives me a questioning look, “Yeah, Bella, we’re already here.”

That seems to satisfy Lauren so she goes back to Drew, “Well, I am like 2 minutes away.”

“Okay.”

“Bye.” She hangs up.

I sit and look out the window. It’s sunny and there’s not a cloud in sight. So why don’t I feel happy? Time passed and I almost didn’t notice Bella walk in.

“Hello my good people. There is no longer a need for worry and frustration. I am here.”

Leave it to Bella to make me shake off my bizarre emotion. “Trust me, we weren’t worrying.” Drew says.

“Well that hurt,” Bella puts her hand on her chest pretending she’s hurt, “Naw, Drew how’d you know I loved this type of coffee.” She takes his cup out of his hand and takes a sip.
