I awake with a startled gasp, and whip my head around so fast I get whiplash. "Woah! Mark! Calm down! What's got ya so freaked out?" Ethan has a hand on my shoulder and is looking at me with concern.I take a deep breath, "Sorry, Sorry. I'm good. Just..just a weird and bad dream." That seems to satisfy his question, because his face cheers up immediately, "Oh good! Before you woke up, they announced we're 10 minutes from landing!" Ethan jumps up and down in his seat, then mumbles something about needing to vlog, and proceeds to get his phone out.
I slept the entire trip? Damn, I must've been tired from filming extra videos I guess. At least I feel somewhat refreshed after sleeping for so long.
The walk off the plane is little more wobbly due to me not using my legs in hours, though we make it to the front door of the airport none the less.
We didn't want to bother any of our friends with having to drive us everywhere, so Ethan and I put money aside for transportation. With that said, we go and hail a taxi and give the driver the address of the abandoned factory.
"You lads are goin there? That place has been shut down for years now!" The man is giving us an odd look, so I speak up, "Well, you see, we just flew in from California cause we're in a YouTube collaboration video. We can assure you we aren't doing any vandalism or anything along those lines, sir."
That makes him chuckle, "Calm down lad! I never would have taken you as a trouble-maker type. Now, off we go!"
I relax into the back of my seat and think about my odd dream from the plane. Could I even call it that? I've never had something like that "dream".
After about a 15 minute drive, I see the relatively large building come into view and Ethan looks up from his phone to look at it too. "What are we gonna do with our luggage Mark?" He starts putting his phone away in his pocket as he asks me this. "Well, I figured since we only have like 3 suitcases in total, that we could just bring them in, and then when we need to leave we can just call an uber."
Ethan nods and looks out his window, and at the same moment I feel my phone buzz in my pocket. I get it out and see it's from Felix, 'git ur asses here alredy!' I laugh at the spelling and reply with a simple 'okay.' Then I show Ethan, who also laughs.
We pull up to the front of the factory, and it looks like there's already a lot of people here. I immediately notice a few familiar faces; Dan and Phil aren't hard to miss because of their height, but I also see Pj, Tomska, Shane, Tyler Oakley, Rhett&Link and other fellow youtubers. In fact there's only two people I don't see here; Jack and Felix.
As Ethan and I get our luggage, which we thankfully packed light, I ask Ethan if he could spot our two missing friends, but he can't see them either. So I shrug and start walking toward the gathering of people, luggage in hand until I see that there is a tent where everyone has put there stuff, so Ethan and I drop it of there before walking to the crowd.
We're greeted with "hello's" and "good to see ya's" and an enthusiastic hug from Phil that knocked me off balance a bit, but I still returned it just as energetic as he did. It's hard not to when Phil has such a positive, happy aura all the time. Dan, like always, is right behind him.
"Hey Dan, just a random question, but have you seen Felix and Jack anywhere?" I ask, in hope of a good answer. "Well, actually, earlier I did and then they wandered off somewhere. Have no clue to where, but Jack looked a little paler than usual, So maybe they went to the loo?" My face turns confused at the mention of Jacks skin tone, "What do you me-" "I DON'T FUCKING WANT IT FELIX!"
Everyone's heads snap towards the shouting voice and I can't help the happiness at seeing my friend, but then the sight before me kicks in and I feel a mix of confusion and fear at what I see.
Felix is standing in front of Jack with his arms crossed and a annoyed expression and knife in hand, which I hope is fake. Meanwhile, Jacks expression is much more furious and his stance is defensive.
I don't register walking over to them until I'm already behind Jack. Instead of turning away, I clear my throat to get their attention.
Jack whips around and Felix snaps his attention to me. I look at Jack and see his face fill with mild fear, then he takes a step away from me. Felix suddenly acts like they weren't just having some sort of argument, and walks over to me and gives me a bear hug, "Mark! Bro it's been ages!" I laugh and return the gesture, "That's a little bit of an overstatement, but I missed you too Felix." I decide to not mention the argument they were obviously just having.
I turn to Jack and open my arms for a hug, "Hey Ja-""Sorry, I don't feel well." Jack starts walking backwards slowly before I lower my arms and he turns and walks away briskly.
My attention goes to my group of friends behind me. "You guys saw that to right? Does he hate me or something?" They all look at each other, but Felix speaks up, "Mark, I wouldn't take it personally. He's been acting whacked out since he got here. In fact, you know how Antisepticeye has a knife right? When I insisted that he should have it during the video, it's like a damn bomb went off in his head. He became really fucking aggressive and defensive."
I sigh, shake my head, then head off towards the check in tent.
