“Do you think they will find out?” Love asked worriedly.
“And here I thought, love, was supposed to be brave. Such a fool I made of myself.” Hate said acting hurt.
“I-I am brave.” Love pouted sweetly. “I am just worried.”
“Worry not, cutie. You said you are brave so you don’t need to be afraid of people finding it out, right?” Hate asked smartly. Love didn’t have an answer for that so he didn’t bother.
They kept talking and chasing each other, playing and hiding, being friends until one fine day when their parents find out. As suspected, they were furious.
“What were you thinking, Love?” Love’s father asked.
“What were you thinking, Hate?” Hate’s father yelled.
Interesting, isn’t it? How both the opposite emotions shared same words.
“Dad, it’s not like that. Chill, we were just having fun.” Hate said nonchalantly. While on the other hand, Love was shaking with fear.
“I-I am sorry, father. I don’t love him, though.” He tried to reason.
The decision by both the parents from each party was same, surprisingly.
“You are grounded.” The decision hit both Hate and Love hard. They weren’t allowed to go out of home anymore and seeing each other was out of the question but don’t they say love is unstoppable.
“What are you doing here? They will hurt you if they saw you.” Love gasped when Hate sneaked through his window.
“True but it won’t happen as long as they don’t see me, right?” Hate always with his smart comments make Love speechless.
“It’s been only one day, Hate. I don’t want you to get hurt. Friends don’t get each other hurt.” Love said shifting on his bed.
“But friends stick together, for lifelong, don’t they?” Hate questioned and once again Love was speechless.
“We don’t love each other so why are they are doing this?” Love asked.
“They are afraid, afraid from the change. Have you ever heard of love liking hate?” Hate questioned. Love shook his head. “That was what I thought. They don’t embrace change easily, good or bad.”
“Does it mean we are doing something wrong? My father had never grounded me and parents punish you when you do something wrong.” Love never thought through things but that doesn’t mean he never question them.
“Is it wrong to be friends, tell me?” Hate asked.
“No, I guess.” Love spoke unsure.
“You get your answer, cutie.” Hate stated. “Now go to sleep, I will come tomorrow.” He said pecking Love’s cheek. Love gasped shocked for Hate had never kissed him even if it was a chaste kiss.
“W-What did you do?” Love said shocked.
“Oh, you mean this.” Hate said while leaning again and kissing Love on his cheek, again. “Good night, cutie.” He muttered and left a slightly dazed and shocked love.
________________One more bumpy ride and we will see if love can really get to love ‘hate’ or is it too much of a change.
Unacceptable, it may sound but believable it truly is.
Passengers we are aboard the train of a love-hate story.
Enjoy the ride !!!!!!
